    • A first connector includes a first connector body; first contacts provided in an end face of the first connector body in a matrix-like manner, each of the first contacts having a first contact point; and first shield plates provided between adjacent first contact points of the first contacts in a row direction, the first shield plates extending in a column direction of the first contact points, and shielding at least the adjacent first contact points in each row. A second connector includes a second connector body; second contacts provided in an end face of the second connector body in a matrix-like manner, each of the second contacts having a second contact point, the second contact points making contact with and being electrically connected to the first contact points; and second shield plates provided between adjacent second contact points of the second contacts in a column direction, the second shield plates extending in a row direction of the second contact points and shielding at least the adjacent second contact points in each column. At least one of the first and second shield plates are formed with slits receiving ends of the other one of the first and second shield plates. The first and second shield plates are configured and arranged to be engaged in a grid pattern by connecting the first and second connectors so that a contact part including the first and second contact points is arranged within one element defined by the grid pattern.

    • A parallel-transmission flat cable that is equipped with a connector unit is provided. This parallel-transmission flat cable includes: a parallel-transmission flat cable member that has pairs of signal transmission paths and ground portions that are arranged alternately so as to enable parallel transmission, and has pairs of signal terminal portions and ground terminal portions exposed at either end of the parallel-transmission flat cable member; and a connector unit forming member that is provided at either end of the parallel-transmission flat cable member and forms a connector unit that has the signal terminal portions and the ground terminal portions of the parallel-transmission flat cable member serving as terminal portions thereof. In this structure, the connector unit is located at either end of the parallel-transmission flat cable member.

    • A burnishing drill includes a cylindrical shank and a drill body connected to the shank. Drilling edges, first reaming edges and second reaming edges are formed on a first reduced diameter portion, a second reduced-diameter portion and a third reduced-diameter portion respectively located at a foremost end of the drill body. Each of the reaming edges is inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis of the drill at an angle which is set so as to be within a range of between 5.degree. and 30.degree.. During a boring operation using the drill, a hole is drilled by the drilling edges and the drilled hole is then worked by the first reaming edges and the second reaming edges to provide a smooth inner wall in the drilled hole. Since each of the reaming edges is formed to extend radially outward from the foremost end of the drill and incline axially in the rearward direction at a relatively small angle, the centering property can be greatly improved.
