The mobile terminal operates according to a Different Image In and Out (DIIO) mode when the external display device is connected to the mobile terminal. When the external display device is not connected to the mobile terminal, the mobile terminal displays the plurality of different images in the display unit of the mobile terminal by operating according to a Picture-In-Picture (PIP) mode or an Overlay mode, so as to take into consideration size limitations of the display unit of the mobile terminal.

The method includes the steps of: generating a color look-up table using information on the difference of each channel before and after a conversion of each color; and converting the colors using the generated color look-up table. Further, the step of generating the color look-up table further includes determining, using a predetermined algorithm, whether precedence bits can be removed in the difference values stored in the first compressed table, if yes, removing the corresponding checked bits and storing the converted channel value in a separate auxiliary color table and, if no, storing an index relating to the auxiliary color table as the corresponding difference value, and generating a secondary compressed table that secondarily compresses the initially compressed difference value and adding type information that indicates if information stored as each difference value is the difference value or the index.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for correcting color in a portable image projector in consideration of an effect of a background color when the portable image projector projects images. The method corrects the effect of the background color to be projected, using color constancy technique, and thereby represents high-quality image which can be projected on a white screen. The method includes the steps of determining if a background color exists on a projection screen using a portable camera, converting the size of a mask image in order to connect a spatial position of an original image and an image photographed by a camera, correcting brightness of the mask image in order to correct non-homogeneity of the brightness of the projected image due to the distribution of different brightness values of the background color, and correcting the background color in order to correct color distortion of the image projected in different colors on the background color. The background color correction step includes the sub-steps of initializing chromaticity of the white screen in advance, and correcting chromaticity using a technique of color constancy of human eyesight.

摘要： An image classification apparatus and method for Automatic White Balance (AWB) are provided. An input image is divided into blocks including pluralities of pixels. A hue value and a chroma value are calculated for each of the blocks. A color-changed block is detected by calculating, for each one of the blocks, differences between the hue and chroma values calculated for all blocks adjacent to the one of the blocks and the hue and chroma values calculated for the one of the blocks. A hue variance and a chroma variance are calculated for the entire input image if a number of the detected color-changed blocks is greater than or equal to a first threshold. The input image is determined as a non-monochromatic image, if the hue variance is greater than or equal to a second threshold or the chroma variance is greater than or equal to a third threshold.
