    • A potential of a reference potential measure section is set to a desired value of a potential of a drum surface (charge receptive surface) such that a potential of the reference potential measure section and a potential of the charge receptive surface are detected by a surface potential detect device during a rotation of the drum to obtain a difference between the values of the measured potential, so that an operation of a charger is controlled to be reduced to zero, thereby changing the potential of the charge receptive surface. This enables the surface potential to be precisely controlled without necessitating a frequent calibration of the surface potential detect device. In addition, the potential of the reference potential measure section is appropriately set depending on a develop condition so as to prevent a toner, when the portion passes a developer at a position over a circumferential area of the drum, from being fixed thereonto. Moreover, a potential of the reference potential detect section and a potential of the charge receptive surface are detected by use of the surface potential detect device so as to examine a difference therebetween and a distribution thereof, which enables a change as well as an irregular variation of the potential due to deterioration of the charge receptive surface to be analyzed. based on the analysis, it is possible to detect the deterioration of the photoconductive body as the charge receptive surface so as to evaluate the life thereof. Furthermore, when an information processing system is configured by combining a computer with an electrostatic recording apparatus according to the present invention, there can be provided a picture quality control system effecting a precise control depending on a characteristic of the photoconductive body.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a clear two-color picture free of color mixing, by scattering a toner when a developer leaves a rubbing plate provided in contact with the surface of the developer, and removing the 1st toner mixed with the 2nd toner from the developer. CONSTITUTION:The 1st toner 5 is carried on the surface of a sleeve 11 together with the 2nd toner 8 and the developer 9 consisting of a carrier. The carried amount of the developer 9 is specified by a doctor 12 to secific thickness to develope an electrostatic latent image on the surface of a recording body 1 and after the development, the developer is scraped off from the sleeve 11 by a scraper 13. The rubbing plate 14 is provided in contact with the surface of the developer 9 in front of the scraper 9. The developer 9 flows down in contact with the rubbing plate 14 and the toner 5 also scatters in powder together with the toner 8 when leaving the end part 15 of the plate 14. A separating electrode 16 which rotates by being applied with a positive voltage is provided on the opposite position to the scraper 13 and only the toner 5 having negative charge among the scattering toner sticks to the separating electrode 16.

    • PURPOSE:To form a uniform and stable magnetic brush by specifying the shape and installation position of a developer regulating member. CONSTITUTION:A developing vessel 1 is provided therein with a developing magnet roll having a sleeve which has a stationary magnet 4 in the inside and conveys a developer by rotating around the same. A shaping member 7 which controls the thickness and shape of the developer is provided opposite to the developing magnet roll. The shaping member is provided between the dissimilar magnetic poles 4a and 4b of the magnet 4 in such a way that the angle theta from the pole 4a attains 50-65% the angle between the poles 4a and 4b and it is formed to the shape wherein the distance between the shaping member and the sleeve decreases gradually in the conveying direction (1.2-2.0 normal distance ratios) so that the bulk density of the developer increases gradually. The angle that the normal in the position on the circumferential surface of the sleeve placed opposite to the shaping member and the plane of the shaping member where the developer contacts assumes is set at 3-15 deg..

    • PURPOSE:To achieve clear bicolor printing by preventing the 2nd toner from sticking on the 1st toner picture, by providing a means of discharging a photoconductor and the secondary electrifying means between the 1st developing means and 2nd exposing means. CONSTITUTION:An exposing means 12 and the 2nd charger 13 are provided behind the 1st developing device 4, and a photoconductive drum 1 on which the 1st toner picture is formed is first exposed by the exposing means 12 to lower its surface potential V1 nearly to zero. Then, the photoconductive drum 1 is electrified again positively and uniformly by the 2nd charger 13. To pring the photoconductive drum 1 in the 2nd color, the drum is exposed to the 2nd rays 6 of light carrying the 2nd information. Further, reversal development is carried out by using the 2nd toner 8 having the positive polarity and differing in color from the 1st toner 5, thus achieving clear bicolor printing.

    • PURPOSE:To achieve the prevention of deposition of powder and granular materials on a level detecting vibrator and enable the detector to operate surely even for powder and granular materials of high cohesive and adhesive forces by forcefully vibrating the vibrator such as tuning fork, tuning bar of the like with natural frequency. CONSTITUTION:When the output voltage of an oscillating circuit 4 generating voltage at the frequency nearly equal to the natural frequency of a tuning bar 1 is applied to an electrostrictive vibrating element 3a, the tuning bar 1 is forcefully vibrated by the natural frequency and this causes the electrostrictive vibrating element 3b to generate an electric signal. After this signal is amplified with an amplifier 5, it is converted to an arbitrary signal in a signal processing circuit 6. Now, when powder or granular material touches the tuning bar 1 and restrains the same, the vibrations of the tuning bar 1 attenuate or stop, but when there is no more powder or granular material, the tuning bar 1 again begins to make separate excitation vibration. This enables the level of the one restraining the vibration of the tuning bar 1 to be detected by the output voltage of the amplifier 5 and the powder or granular material depositing on the tuning bar 1 to be readily shaken off by the forceful separate excitation vibration of the tuning bar 1, thus making possible the sure level detection.
