CONSTITUTION:The sensor unit 1 of the quantity detector comprises a fixed piece 3 and a movable piece 2 for constituting a Roverval's mechanism, and a leaf spring 4 for coupling the pieces 3 and 2. A permanent magnet 7 is bonded to an arm piece 6 provided integrally with the piece 2, and a Hall element 9 for detecting the displaced amount of the magnet 7 is fixed to the piece 3. The load applied to the piece 2 is calculated from the displaced amount detected by the element 9, and the quantity of the articles placed on the piece 2 is calculated as the reduced value of the load.

SOLUTION: A card-from prize 1 provided to a customer at a pachinko parlor, has a resin cover 3 in a manner of covering the top face of the body 2 formed into a rectangle, and contains a prize identification plate 4 and a magnetic plate 5 embedded inside. The magnetic plate 5 used is made of a magnet rubber having a prescribed thickness that can be polarized vertically (in the width direction), and is magnetized to prescribed polarity by an eternal magnet provided near the prize dispensation opening of the prize dispenser. As for the card-form prize 1 incorporating a polarized magnetic plate, the polarized state of its magnetic plate is detected by the magnetic sensor provided in the prize discrimination device, and from the result of detection, it is decided whether the prize is true or false.

When a predetermined number of the return balls is counted up by the photosensors 30a, 30b, a solenoid is energized to cause stoppers 31a, 31b to inhibit conveyance of the return balls.

Concurrently, the balls 13 are assorted into a plurality of rows on a passage port formed on the bottom of the passage 8 and roll into a counter. The balls 13 are detected and counted with a reflective photosensor and a CCD 12 at a process for rolling to a deeper position and, then, the shape thereof is recognized. When an abnormal counting object is recognized with the CCD 12, an instruction is issued by displaying an alarm through a control section or by sounding a warning, thereby giving an instruction for the storage of an image used for recognizing the abnormal counting object in a memory.
