    • Upon reception of an electronic mail, a mail server analyzes header information. If a header portion includes no broadcasting destination (CC, BCC destination), a normal mail transmission process is performed. If the header portion includes a broadcasting destination, the mail is stored by associating it with a TO destination, and Web data including the mail information is created. When the TO destination draws out that mail from the mail server, the mail server registers the Web data in a viewable directory. Thus, the Web data is updated. The mail server further creates and sends an electronic mail notifying the broadcasting destination that the mail has been viewable.

    • The present invention provides a direct printing apparatus which prevents image noise from generating due to adhesion of toner to a spacer and enables to form a good image even if the apparatus is operated for a long period. The direct printing apparatus comprises a bearing member 30 for bearing printing particles 38 thereon, the printing particles 38 being charged to a predetermined polarity, a backing electrode 44 opposed to the bearing member 38, and a printing head 50 disposed between the bearing member 30 and the backing electrode 44. The printing head 50 has a plurality of apertures 56 through which the printing particles 38 can propel and a plurality of electrodes 68, 70 disposed around the plurality of apertures 56. The printing particles 38 are directly deposited on a print medium 8 which is conveyed between the backing electrode 44 and the printing head 50. A positioning spacer 90 is provided between the bearing member 30 and the printing head 50 so that the surface of the bearing member 30 comes into contact with the spacer 90. At least a part of the spacer 90 which comes into contact with the bearing member 30 is made of a material which is apt to be worn by the printing particles 38.

Binary image data is separated into high density head data and low density head data by a data separating circuit. The high density head forms first partial image of high resolution based on the high density head data and the low density head forms second partial image with reduced recording defects at a high speed based on the low density head data both on the printing paper.

    • An electrostatic latent image developing device includes a rotatable developing sleeve for providing an electrostatic latent image formed on a photoreceptor with a toner so as to develop the latent image into a visual image, and a toner regulating blade which contacts at one surface with the developing sleeve so that the toner is regulated and then formed into a thin layer. The toner regulating blade has, in a surface confronting the toner bearing member, a bevelled portion which forms a wedge shaped space in a upstream side of a contact region of the blade and the developing sleeve with respect to a direction of a movement of the developing sleeve. Further, the toner regulating blade has chamfered portions in the bevelled portion at both sides thereof. Therefore, the sleeve bears a toner thin layer having a constant density.
