摘要： An optical fiber tape having low polarization mode dispersion characteristics and applied to a dense wavelength multiplex (DWDM) transmission system of a transmission rate from several Gb/s to several tens of Gb/S. We have found out that the polarization mode dispersion of an optical fiber tape relates to the loss tangent (tan δ) determined when the dynamic viscoelasticity is measured, and that particularly, if the loss tangent of when a dispersion shift fiber is used is made 0.080 or more and the loss tangent of when a single mode optical fiber is used is made 0.042 or more, the polarization mode coefficient of dispersion (PMD) is reduced to 0.3 ps/√km preferable to realize a DWDM transmission system.

摘要： A thermoforming apparatus includes a female die and a movable plug for thermoforming a softened thermoplastic resin sheet. The female die includes a rim forming recess in the shape of a bowl-shaped recess, communicating with a bottom opening and forming a bottom wall of the bowl, an outer wall, a bottom wall and an inner wall of a rim of the bottom, and a bottom plate movable forward and backward relative to the rim forming recess. The softened thermoplastic resin sheet is thrust by the plug while the bottom plate is held at a first stop position. The thermoplastic resin sheet is brought into contact with an inner circumferential surface of the bowl-shaped recess and then the bottom plate is moved to a second stop position so that a rim is formed.

Hierarchizing the software of the watchdog timer makes it possible to set a suitable timeout value in the watchdog timer for a higher-speed sensing of timeout and monitor the timeouts of plural systems at plural levels, which improves the monitoring capability.
