    • The invention features a dual-mode audio system for an automobile which in one mode is configured for play while the doors to the automobile are closed, and in a second mode, is configured for play while a door, such as a tailgate, is opened. Additionally, the invention also features a battery monitor which monitors the operating condition of the battery and may estimate the energy capacity of the battery. The system may also take power conservation measures if the system determines that the engine is not running or the operating condition of the batter reaches a predetermined state. The invention also features a remote control integrated within a key fob for controlling the audio system. The invention features various orientations for mounting a pair of loudspeakers within an automobile which directly radiate sound out of a rear opening of the automobile.

    • An electric tool switch mechanism includes a trigger switch for operating to at least rotate or stop a DC motor; and a power switch connected between the DC motor and a battery power source and closed when a pressed amount of the trigger switch exceeds a predetermined threshold value.     • This invention relates to an organic electroluminescent element (organic EL element) utilizing phosphorescence which shows improved luminous efficiency and driving stability and has a simple structure. The organic EL element comprises an anode, organic layers containing a hole-transporting layer, a light-emitting layer, and an electron-transporting layer, and a cathode piled one upon another on a substrate with the hole-transporting layer disposed between the light-emitting layer and the anode and the electron-transporting layer disposed between the light-emitting layer and the cathode. The light-emitting layer contains a compound represented by the following general formula (I) as a guest material and an organic metal complex containing at least one metal selected from ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, rhenium, osmium, iridium, platinum, and gold as a guest material; in general formula (I), R1-R6 are independently hydrogen atoms, alkyl groups, aralkyl groups, alkenyl groups, cyano groups, alkoxy groups, aromatic hydrocarbon groups, or aromatic heterocyclic groups.
