    • An automatic accompaniment generating apparatus capable of generating automatic accompaniment as intended by a user. In an arpeggio sounding data generation mode, when key depression tones are input by a user's key depression operation after arpeggio pattern data is selected and a loop count is set to a value of “1” by the user, the sounding of the key depression tones is started, and the generation of a sounding data list is started based on the tone pitches of the key depression tones and sounding pattern data included in the selected arpeggio pattern data. In the case of the loop count being set to “1”, the reproduction of the sounding data list is completed at the end of one bar, and thereafter only the key depression tones are sounded until a key release operation is performed by the user.

    • An electronic wind instrument has a blowing feeling adder. The adder comprises an air chamber having an entrance and an exit, an entrance pipe for introducing breath the entrance pipe being coupled to the entrance of the air chamber, an exit pipe for discharging the breath the exit pipe being connected to the exit of the air chamber, and a valve interposed between entrance and exit portions of the air chamber and having elasticity. The valve is deformed according to a breath pressure at the entrance portion to change an opening area of the entrance. Whereby the electronic wind instrument can simulate blowing feeling of a natural wind instrument.

    • Various arpeggio patterns are provided for an automatic arpeggio performance in an electronic musical apparatus, in which arpeggio notes are sounded in various timbres and appropriate arpeggio types are selected for the respective timbres. For each of a plurality of timbres, plural available arpeggio types are prepared which are appropriate for the timbre, and are assigned to plural arpeggio type selecting buttons, respectively. According to the manipulation of an arpeggio type selecting button, the assigned type is selected and the arpeggio pattern data of the selected arpeggio type are outputted for the successive sounding of the notes as an arpeggio. The assignment of the arpeggio types to the selecting buttons are alterable by the user.

    • A description is provided of an optical information recording and reproducing apparatus which detachably supports a volume holographic memory formed of a photorefractive crystal. The apparatus includes a portion for supplying a coherent reference light beam at a first wavelength into the volume holographic memory; a portion for supplying a coherent signal light beam at the first wavelength, modulated in accordance with image data, into the memory to produce an optical interference pattern with the reference light within the memory; a portion for supplying a gate light beam at a second wavelength into the memory for activating or deactivating an index grating in accordance with the presence or absence of the optical interference pattern to enhances a photo-sensitivity of the memory; and a detector for detecting diffraction light from the index grating of the memory by the irradiation of the reference light beam. The apparatus includes a scanning portion for moving an intersecting region in which the gate light beam, the signal light beam and the reference light beam intersect with one another within the volume holographic memory along an optical axis of an optical path of the signal light beam within the volume holographic memory.
