摘要： A multi-purpose clamping device that stabilizes and holds a wide variety of irregularly shaped objects by means of a stationary and a movable jaw, a linear ratchet and a rotary power cam; both used to engage the work piece, a pair of conformable jaw faces consisting of an array of spring-loaded pins to grasp the work piece, and a base with retractable stabilizing outriggers that ground and stabilize the work. The device is configured in such a way that it will lay flush on one side so that it can be used as a vise in an alternate orientation to allow access from both the top and the side. The base is also configured to allow the clamp portion to detach from the base in order to be used separately as a clamp.

摘要： A communication adapter connected between a communication line and a host processor segments a received data frame by storing the received data in a buffer chain made up of equal length buffers. As each buffer is filled, the adapter interrupts the host. The host moves the data stored in the filled buffer into its own storage. It interrupts the adapter so that the buffer can be returned to the chain of free buffer and completes transmission protocol processing before the entire frame is received. If the frame has been received without error or buffer overrun it is delivered to the user immediately after transfer of the last buffer.

摘要： An ultrasonic angioplasty device comprising an elongate ultrasound transmission member having a proximal end attachable to an ultrasound generating device and a bulbous distal head or probe formed on the distal end thereof for effecting ablative treatment of an occluding lesion. The ultrasound transmission member may be formed of one or more superelastic metal alloys such as NiTi (50 at. % Ni). A guidewire lumen may be formed in the distal head or probe to permit passage of a guidewire therethrough. Portions of the ultrasound transmission member may be curved or bent. Portions of the ultrasound transmission member may be tapered or narrowed. One or more surface disruptions may be formed on the distal head or probe to improve treatment efficacy. An increased hardness coating or outer skin may be formed on the ultrasound transmission member. The device of the present invention may be incorporated into an angioscopic device.
