    • The present invention relates to ionic liquids having low melting points, low viscosities and high electrical conductivities; and more specifically, to ionic liquids including at least one organic onium ion and at least one anion represented by the formula: [Z—BF3]−, wherein Z is an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, or a fluoroalkenyl group. The ionic liquids according to the invention are capable of easily dissolving electrolytes such as lithium salts, and are also nonflammable and have low viscosities; therefore, the ionic liquids are suitable for use as electrolyte solvents for lithium batteries such as lithium secondary batteries, electric double-layer capacitors, and the like. The ionic liquids according to the invention are suitable for use in electrochemical devices such as lithium secondary batteries, fuel cells, solar batteries, electrical double-layer capacitors and the like; as solvents for chemical reactions; and as lubricants.

    • The utilization amount of steam generated by heat recovery tends to decrease in a production process of an organic acid when the concentration of an organic acid solution obtained in a step of collecting an organic acid with a solvent such as water becomes high. The purpose of the invention is to find an advantageous method for effectively utilizing reaction heat and contribute to global environmental preservation and saving product costs. The present invention provides a production method of an organic acid comprising carrying out a gas-phase catalytic oxidation reaction of raw material gas at the temperature from 250° C. to 450° C., recovering at least a part of reaction heat and/or heat generated in combustion of a waste as high pressure steam at a pressure of 1 MPaG or higher, supplying at least a part of the high pressure steam to a back pressure steam turbine connected with a blower to drive the blower, and supplying at least a part of discharged gas from the back pressure steam turbine, low pressure steam A at a pressure lower than 1 MPaG, to an absorption type refrigerator to utilize the low pressure steam A as a heat source of the absorption type refrigerator.

    • A movable target for a throwing game is provided including a target body and a target member movably connected to the target body. The target body includes: a gear shaft cooperating with a drive mechanism; a rotary shaft mounted on the gear shaft; a rotary plate having an engagement projection and being loosely mounted on the rotary shaft; a rotary member having a projection formed on its upper surface mounted on the rotary shaft to be slidable longitudinally; a compression spring provided between the rotary plate and the rotary member; an oscillating member oscillatably supported on a supporting shaft passing through a base portion of the target member and a pair of bearing plates erected on the rotary plate, the oscillating member engaging at its upper end the target member; and a projection formed on an upper surface of said rotary member and fitted into a groove formed longitudinally on a lower end surface of the oscillating member. The target member is caused to rotate along with the rotary plate and, when the engagement projection formed on the rotary plate engages a cam mechanism cooperating with the drive mechanism, the rotary plate is prevented from rotating, but the target member oscillates via the oscillating member oscillated by engagement with the projection on the rotary member. Thus, the movable target irregularly rotates and oscillates to enhance the amusement value of a ring toss or ball throwing game.
