    • PURPOSE:To accurately measure the shapes of the citrus fruits and to eliminate the overlooking of a discoloring defective part by detecting the outward shape or discoloring defect part according to a video obtained by photographing continuously a fruit which is being conveyed and rotated by a roller conveyor in a slanting arrangement. CONSTITUTION:Roller shafts of rollers 18 and 18 of the transfer conveyor 16 of the inspecting device 12 which conveys the citrus fruits are arranged slantingly at an angle theta to a conveyance side from the horizontal direction. The citrus fruits 10 are rolled in the conveyance direction by the rotation of the rollers 18 and 18 and spun and moved, but when the rollers 18 and 18 are rotated at different rotating speeds, the fruits 10 are twisted and spun on the rollers 18 and 18. Here, the rollers 18 and 18 are flocked in mutually different states and twist spinning is possible without making their rotating speeds different. Further, the outer peripheral surfaces of the rollers 18 and 18 and the other peripheral surfaces of the flocking are colored in complementary relation with the skin color of the fruits 10 and a television camera 22 and a video processor 24 are used to extract only the color components of the skin of the fruits 10 and their outward shapes, thereby making classifications by classes and grades.

CONSTITUTION: An outside air treating device 10 is constituted principally of an electrostatic charging device 14, consisting of a discharging pole 18, effecting corona discharge by impressing a high voltage, and a grounding pole 20, provided so as to be opposed to the discharging pole 18 and collecting charged particles electrostatically, and a filter 16, provided at the downstream side of the electrostatic charging device 14. Snow, fog and dust, which are collected and adhered to the grounding pole 20, are removed by discharging liquid from a header 30, provided at the upper end of the grounding pole 20, onto the grounding pole 20 to wash down the snow, fog or the dust by the liquid. In this case, the liquid is supplied to the header 30 by a method wherein a discharging current, conducted through the electrostatic charging device 14, is measured and when the measured value has arrived at a predetermined value, a control valve 34 for a supplying pipeline 34, connected to the header 30, is opened to supply the liquid.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the parking lot charge adjusting method and device which calculates the charge for parking by accurately matching entering vehicles with exiting vehicles even unless the characters of a license plate can be recognized owing soiling etc. CONSTITUTION:Images of vehicles 16 passing on the entry passage 10 and exit passage (37) of the parking lot are picked up by TV cameras 20 (36) and the two vehicle images which are picked up are processed by image processors 24 and 32. Namely, two kinds of information which are character information on the license plate of the vehicle 16 and character information on an automobile inspection label stuck on the windshield of the vehicle 16 are extracted from the vehicle images and a specific entering/exiting vehicle ID number is given according to the two extracted kinds of information. The entering/exiting vehicle ID number is stored in the memory of a CPU 28, which matches the entering vehicle ID number with the exiting vehicle ID number when the charge for parking is cleared to calculate the parking lot use time of the vehicle, thereby automatically calculating the charge for parking from the parking lot use time.
