摘要： A pliers-type insulation stripping tool includes a pair of blade holders that are removably connected with the pull rod that longitudinally displaces the blades relative to the handle shell when a severed length of insulation is stripped from the insulated conductor. A resilient ejector arrangement in provided for ejecting from the handle shell the length of stripped insulation. In order to permit use of the insulation stripping tool with insulated conductors of various sizes and diameters, a blade depth adjusting device is provided for adjusting the distance between at least one of the blade holders and the associated clamping jaw.

摘要： A pliers-type insulation stripping tool includes an adjusting device for adjusting the cutting profile provided by the knife edges of a stack of parallel lamellar cutting blades pivotally connected at one end with a knife holder for independent pivotal movement about a first pivot axis parallel with the tool handle pivot axis. The adjusting device comprises a cylindrical support member that is mounted in the associated knife holder for rotation about an axis parallel with the first pivot axis. The circumferential surface of the support cylinder includes a plurality of segments that are selectively engaged by flat portions of the cutting blades, thereby to define different cutting profiles, respectively. The knife holder is connected for longitudinal displacement on one the clamping jaws of the tool handles, thereby to remove a severed length of the insulation layer from the insulated conductor.

摘要： Pliers for dressing conductor ends have two handles (3, 11) which can move relative to one another, a plurality of dressing stations for the conductor ends, and a drive device (21) via which the dressing stations can be driven during operation of the handles (3, 11). One of the dressing stations is constructed as a crimping drum (18) which can be displaced axially and is supported such that it can rotate and be coupled to the drive device (21) in the axially displaced position over only one dressing process. In this position, the station can be locked via a flange (52) which projects radially from it. This flange (52) extends over the overall circumference of the crimping drum (18) and has at least one recess (51). A locking tab (50a), which is arranged in a fixed position on the body (2) of the pliers and is radially opposite the flange (52), engages, in the undisplaced axial position of the crimping drum (18), into the recess (51), to be precise up to a point close to the outer surface of the crimping drum (18) while, in the axially displaced and rotated position of the crimping drum (18), the locking tab (50a) comes to rest above the outer surface of the crimping drum and engages behind the flange (52). Locking of the crimping drum (18) both in the rotational direction and in the axial displacement direction is thus possible by the locking tab (50a).

摘要： An electrical connector includes a metal housing having at least one side wall, and first and second end walls cooperating with the side wall to define an open-topped chamber, an inverted generally U-shaped resilient contact having first and second leg portions introduced into the chamber adjacent the first and second end walls, respectively, and a bridging portion adjacent the open top of the metal housing, the housing side wall having a bent portion for supporting the resilient contact bridging portion, the resilient contact first leg portion being connected against coplanar movement relative to the housing first end wall. The resilient contact second leg portion is biased outwardly from the first leg portion, thereby to bias a conductor introduced within the housing chamber toward engagement with a bus bar defined adjacent the housing second end wall. The housing may be formed of an electrically conductive metal, such as copper. The free extremity of the second contact leg may be bifurcated to improve the biasing of one or more conductors against the bus bar.
