摘要： PURPOSE:To enable oxide superconductive wire rod excellent in superconductive characteristics by pouring an oxide to become a superconductor as fused liquid into a metallic vessel to become sheath material and solidifying it into a compound billet, and degressively processing and heat-treating it. CONSTITUTION:First, a martial oxide to become a superconductor is put in a crucible 1, and this is heated and fused into fused liquid 2, and this fused liquid 2 is poured into a metallic vessel 3 to become sheath material and is solidified into a compound billet 5. Next, after putting a cover 4 on the top of this vessel 5 and sealing it, the compound billet 5 is degressively processed by the methods of extrusion, drawing, swaging, rolling, etc., and is finished into compound line material in desired shapes such as a round wire, a square wire, a tape, etc. Further, this compound line material is heat-treated in oxygen contained atmosphere and is made into oxide superconductive line material. Hereby, oxide superconductive line material which is high in critical current density and is excellent in superconductive characteristics can be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the title starting material powder for providing uniform oxide superconducting molded body having high superconducting characteristics by forming a uniform powder mixture from powdery oxides having a compsn. for a desired oxide superconductor after repeating agglomeration and pulverization, and performing heat-treatment thereafter. CONSTITUTION:Powder of primary starting materials for constituting the above- described oxide superconductor, for example, Bi and/or Tl, alkaline earth metal, and Cu, are weighed in a proportion for obtg. a desired compsn. A uniform powder mixture is prepd. by subjecting the starting material powder to agglomeration and pulverization repeatedly by a mechanical means. A sufficiently uniform powder mixture for an oxide superconductor is obtd. by heat-treating, and, if necessary, pulverizing said powder mixture further. By the above-described process, a higher effect may be attained in the prepn. of a starting material powder for, particularly, a Bi- alkaline earth metal- Cu type oxide superconductor.

摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a ceramic superconductor, which can be used for power transmission such as a cable and which is free from slack of a composite body with ceramic superconductor to be generated in the heat treatment and cooling process for and also free from deterioration of the superconductive characteristics in associat ion therewith. CONSTITUTION:A certain number of composite bodies 4 consisting of metal 2 and ceramic superconductor 3 are put on an undulate metal pipe 1 in such a way as laid longitudinally or enwrapped spirally and are pressed by a jig 5 to be formed into the same undulate shape as the metal pipe 1. From over the composite bodies 4, a metal pipe 8 is pressed and wound alongside the crests 7 of the metal pipe 1, and a specified heat treatment is applied. Because shrinkage of the composite bodies 4 is absorbed by the part formed undulate and intruded to the bottoms 6 of the pipe 1, there is no deterioration of the superconductive characteristics to permit use as a conductor for power transmission. The thickness of this superconductor can be thinned because the inside of the pipe 1 used to a core is serviceable as a refrigerant passage, it is less practicable to be quenched.

摘要： PURPOSE:To lessen the surface roughness of a product, make the quality the whole surface uniform, decrease the alteration of superconductive properties in the longitudinal direction, and make application of the product to a magnet and a cable easy by specifying the surface roughness of the inside of a metal pipe. CONSTITUTION:At first, a metal pipe going to become a sheath is prepared. If the roughness Ra of the inside exceeds 25mum, the vertical cross-section shape in the longitudinal direction of the obtained ceramic superconductor is degraded and the superconductive properties in the longitudinal direction fluctuate, so the pipe is finished to have inside roughness Ra within 25mum. The finishing is carried out by, for example, inside abrasion. The surface roughness of the outside of the metal pipe does not affect the alteration of the superconductive properties of the obtained wire. The metal pipe of a sheath is filled with raw material ceramics containing the elements to become a superconductor and heated after it is processed for decreasing the diameter. The surface of the resulting wire of a ceramic superconductor becomes smooth and the thickness of the vertical cross-section in the longitudinal direction has little unevenness and the configuration of the superconductor becomes uniform.
