    • The present invention relates to a butterfly type control valve.This valve (30) comprises a body (31) defining a housing (32) for a mobile plug (13), rotating about an axis (14). The housing (32) is extended by an inlet channel (15) and an outlet channel (16), thus defining a connection passage between the inlet channel and the outlet channel. The effective cross section of this passage and therefore the flow rate of the fluid flowing through the valve are controlled according to the angular position of the plug (13). Furthermore, this valve comprises an element which generates a drop in pressure (18) provided with several calibrated passages (19) with a small diameter, located between the inlet channel (15) and a part of the housing, in a peripheral area of said housing (32).The valve makes it possible to reduce cavitation, noise and wear and tear of the valve by creating a considerable drop in pressure when the valve is slightly open, whilst allowing a greater control range.

    • An attenuator valve is provided by utilizing a closure member having a fluid passage therethrough and an attenuator device disposed in the passage of the closure member which protrudes therefrom and which provides a variable degree of attenuation dependent upon the degree to which the valve is opened. The degree of attenuation is proportional to the degree to which the valve is opened. The closure member in combination with the attenuator device provides an optimal attenuation in the full range of valve settings with decreasing attenuation as the valve is opened, and so that at full open position the attenuator device does not significantly restrict the flow of fluid.

    • The flow regulating valve (10) of the ball or plug type comprises a ball (13) which rotates about a rotation axis (14) and comprises a shut-off area (15) and a regulation area (16). The regulation area (16) comprises a series of channels (160) arranged in planes substantially perpendicular to the rotation axis (14) and which are provided with an expansion area (161).     • A drag ball valve (10) that can variable regulate the pressure drop to which the fluid passing therethrough is subjected while maintaining the fluid velocity nearly constant is disclosed. To accomplish this, a series of fixed disks (34) having apertures (36) therein and rotatable disks (42) having apertures (44) with flange-like projections (46) therein are aligned so that either an unobstructed straight fluid passage through the apertures in both types of disks is created or the fluid is diverted by the flange-like projections (46) causing pressure reductions due to a variable number of flow direction turns. By varying the number of fixed disks (34) and rotatable disks (42) used, and by varying the number of rotatable disks (42) that are so aligned, any number of flow direction turns and associated pressure drops from zero pressure drops to the total number of rotatable disks (42) used can be achieved.
