摘要： In one illustrative example, a mobile device receives from a relay services node an enable message which indicates a pending data message to be retrieved from a host service. The pending data message may comprise a body of text. Subsequent to the receiving of the enable message, a messaging application is opened at the mobile device. In response to the opening of the messaging application, the mobile device communicates directly with the host service without use of the relay services node, for retrieving the pending data message from the host service via a wireless network.

摘要： In one embodiment, a mobile communication device is configured to selectively enable user data communications after registration in a wireless communication network. The mobile device sends, via its radio, feature compliance information to the network. In response to the feature compliance information being sent, the mobile device receives, via the radio, configuration information which is derived based on the feature compliance information and location information of the mobile device. The mobile device then selectively enables the user data communications based on the received configuration information. In particular, the mobile device enables the user data communications when the location information indicates that the mobile device is operating in a particular country and the feature compliance information indicates feature compliance for the particular country. On the other hand, the mobile device disables the user data communications when the location information indicates that the mobile device is operating in the particular country and the feature compliance information indicates a lack of feature compliance for the particular country.

摘要： A wireless telecommunications system includes facilities in a wireless hand-held device (WHHD) that allows a user to browse files available to that user on storage devices in an enterprise network, and to identify one or more such files to be attached to an e-mail message to be composed on or transmitted from the handheld. The system includes facilities in an enterprise network, such as a file delivery server, that cooperates with the WHHD to provide the file browsing service. A mail agent cooperates with the WHHD, responsive to instruction from the handheld to send an e-mail message that is to contain an attachment, to request the file delivery server to retrieve the identified files and assemble an e-mail containing those files as attachments. The WHHD may receive from the user appropriate credentials needed to access files available to that user on storage devices in the enterprise network, and may forward the credential to the file delivery server and the mail agent. These components may use the credentials to provide the file browsing service and to retrieve the identified files.
