    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method and a production plant of an aromatic hydrocarbon, capable of suppressing a production cost of the aromatic hydrocarbon, such as benzen-toluene-xylenes, and a plant operation cost to low.SOLUTION: The production plant 10 of the aromatic hydrocarbon includes: an aromatic production apparatus 12 that contacts a stock oil with a catalyst to obtain a reaction product that contains the aromatic hydrocarbon; a first separation means 16 that separates the reaction product into an overhead fraction and a tower bottom fraction by a distillation tower; a solvent absorption means 18 that separates the overhead fraction into a rough aromatic fraction and an offgas by contacting the overhead fraction to a solvent so that the rough aromatic fraction that contains an LPG fraction is absorbed to the solvent; a second separation means 20 that separates the rough aromatic fraction into the LPG fraction and the rough aromatic fraction; a third separation means 24 that separates the rough aromatic fraction into a monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbon and a heavy distillate; and a solvent circulation means 25 that serves the heavy distillate obtained by the third separation means 24 to the solvent absorption means 18 as the solvent in the solvent absorption means 18.
