    • A liquid crystal display including a backlight unit and a liquid crystal display panel is provided. A spectrum of the backlight unit has relative relative maximum brightness peaks at wavelength between 460 nm to 480 nm, between 505 nm to 525 nm, and between 610 nm to 630 nm. The liquid crystal display panel is disposed above the backlight unit. The liquid crystal display panel has a red color filter layer (Rx, Ry, RY), a green color filter layer (Gx, Gy, GY), a blue color filter layer (Bx, By, BY) and a yellow color filter layer (Yx, Yy, YY), wherein under the backlight source, the red color filter layer, the green color filter layer, the blue color filter layer and the yellow color filter layer satisfy following conditions: Rx≧0.654; Ry≦0.330; Gx≦0.253; Gy≧0.605; Bx≦0.136; By≦0.146; Yx≦0.408; Yy≦0.534; 0.83≦RY/GY≦0.87; 0.86≦GY/BY≦0.92; 0.83≦BY/YY≦0.87 and 1.5≦YY/RY≦1.55.

    • A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The display device includes a backlight module and a color resist layer. The backlight module generates an output light, wherein the output light has an emitting spectrum function BL(λ) corresponding to a wave length λ. The color resist layer has a blue resist unit, a green resist unit, a red resist unit, and a white resist unit, respectively formed on the backlight module, for filtering the output light generated by the backlight module. The color resist layer has an index function S(λ). The index function S(λ) has an interval maximum value in the wave length between 480 nm and 580 nm, wherein the interval maximum value is between 1.1 and 1.2. The manufacturing method includes providing a backlight module to generate an output light; selecting a blue resist unit, a green resist unit, a red resist unit, and a white resist unit in accordance with an index function S(λ); and combining the blue resist unit, the green resist unit, the red resist unit, and the white resist unit together to form a color resist layer on the backlight module for filtering the output light emitted by the backlight module.

    • An liquid crystal display including a backlight module and an LCD panel is disclosed. The backlight module has a white light source, and the normalized optical spectrum of the backlight module is BL(λ). The LCD panel includes a red color filter layer, a green color filter layer and a blue color filter layer. The green color filter layer and the backlight module are subject to the following relationship: E=C/D and E≧0.8, wherein A is defined as the wavelength corresponding to the maximum peak value of CFGreen(λ)×BL(λ)×x(λ); B is defined as the wavelength corresponding to the maximum peak value of CFGreen(λ)×BL(λ)×y(λ); C is defined as the integral on CFGreen(λ)×BL(λ)×x(λ) over the interval between A and B; D is defined as the integral on CFGreen(λ)×BL(λ)×y(λ) over the interval larger than B, CFGreen(λ) is the transmission spectrum of the green color filter layer; and x(λ) and y(λ) are color matching functions.
