摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent virus infection in a memory device connectable to an information processor while suppressing deterioration in response speed of the memory device.SOLUTION: An information processing system includes the information processor and the memory device having a data memory area. The information processor has a monitoring part for monitoring whether data of a request target for writing into the memory area includes a computer virus or not. The memory device includes a memory control part for writing into the memory area data received from the information processor in response to a writing request and reading out data from the memory area in response to a reading-out request to transfer it to the information processor. The memory control part prohibits data form being written into the memory area from a time when it is recognized that the memory area is available for the information processor until the monitoring part starts monitoring.

Then, the CPU 110 cancels and prohibits the drive letter assignment to the virtual CD-ROM drive area 222 by executing auxiliary application software stored in the virtual CD-ROM drive area 222.
