摘要： A process for the production of granular detergent compositions is provided wherein fluid bed granulation is employed in conjunction with selected recycle of oversized particles to control the uniformity of the resulting detergent composition. The process comprises feeding starting ingredients into a fluid bed granulator to at least partially granulate the feed material while employing the fluid bed to control undersized particle generation and sizing in conjunction with recycle to control oversized particles.

The process comprises the steps of (a) dispersing a surfactant, and coating the surfactant with fine powder in a mixer, wherein first agglomerates are formed, (b) thoroughly mixing the first agglomerates in a mixer, wherein second agglomerates are formed, and (c) granulating the second agglomerates in one or more fluidizing apparatus. The process can also comprise further step (b'), i.e., spraying finely atomized liquid onto the second agglomerates in a mixer, between step (b) and step (c).

摘要： A method for measuring volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of a material produced in a process system is disclosed. The method involves an enclosed bag into which a sample of material is placed, after which the bag is stored at a predetermined temperature such that the contents reach equilibrium. The storage temperature is the mean exit temperature of the effluent from the process system for which a VOC measurement is required. Samples from the headspace in the bag are inputted into a flame ionization detector to provide the VOC level. A kit for using the method is also disclosed.
