    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boiler supporting structure which reduces the size of a seismic tie. SOLUTION: Relative displacement occurs between a back stay 12 secured to a water-wall 11 and a supporting structure 2 when an earthquake happens. A plurality of elastic and plastic elements 13 and a shear plate 31 are secured to binders 26 and 27 to which a link mechanism 28 is attached with pins 29. The binder 27 is fixed to the supporting structure 2. The relative displacement causes the binder 26 to come into collision with a stopper 25 secured to the back stay 12, and thus deforms the respective elastic and plastic elements 13 and the shear plate 31, thereby generating a restriction force. The link mechanism 28 constantly keeps the both binders 26 and 27 parallel to each other to cause the predetermined deformation in the elastic and plastic elements 13 add the shear plate 31. The addition of the restriction force through the shear plate 31 reduces the number of the elements 13.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety and reliability of a framed structure by using a device that executes an automatic calculation and can obtain an optimum solution thereby executing a highly precise optimal framed structure design in a real design problem that the number of pieces of design variable data is very large in an optimal designing device using a genetic search method. SOLUTION: This device for optimally designing the framed structure by using the genetic search method is provided with an approximate optimization calculating device using an approximate expression of discrete design variable data such as a framed member cross section size and a detailed optimization calculating device using the design variable data and constructs an optimization designing device for a framed structure by combing these two calculating devices. The approximate optimization calculating device using the approximate expression of the design variable data and the detailed optimization calculating device obtain the optimal solution of an excellent framed structure by continuously and automatically executing a two-stage optimization calculation no matter how many pieces the number of pieces of design variable data is.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an easy installation even if a horizontal beam of a supporting structure frame and a back stay of a boiler are not in a same height, reduce seismic response load, and enable a construction of a reduced size. SOLUTION: This seismic tie for a boiler comprises a post 2 fixed on a supporting structure frame 21, a sleeve 3 secured coaxially and outwardly of the post 2, a lever 8 secured to the sleeve 3 at one end and provided with an elongated groove recessed toward a sleeve side at another end for applying twist on the sleeve and a pin 13 fitted into the elongated groove of the lever 8 with providing clearances and fixed to a boiler main body 24 for rotating the lever 8 at the time of occurrence of an earthquake. Preferably, a thin-walled portion is formed between a portion of the sleeve 3 to which one end of the lever 8 is fixed and one end of the sleeve 3 so as to form a jacket surrounding an outside of the thin-walled portion.
