摘要： A composite article is provided which includes a blend component having first and second surfaces and a substantially non-fluorinated polymer component adhered to the first surface of the blend component, wherein the substantially non-fluorinated polymer component has an exposed surface. The blend component includes a first hydrogen containing fluoropolymer; and a substantially non-fluorinated polymer having one or more pendant primary or secondary amine groups. Increased adhesion is observed by a peel strength value between the blend component and the substantially non-fluorinated polymer component when compared to a peel strength value between a component consisting of a fluoropolymer and a component consisting of a substantially non-fluorinated polymer having pendant primary or secondary amine groups.

摘要： Provided is a melt processable fluorothermoplastic composition comprising a major amount of a first semi-crystalline fluorinated copolymer and a minor amount of a second fluoropolymer effective to reduce melt defects in the composition. Each fluoropolymer is selected from four classes. The first class, (a), includes a semi-crystalline perfluorinated copolymer. The second class, (b), includes a fluoropolymer derived from interpolymerized units of at least one essentially perfluorinated monomer and at least one non-fluorinated hydrogen-containing monomer. The third class, (c), includes a fluoropolymer derived from interpolymerized units of at least one partially-fluorinated monomer, and optionally at least one essentially perfluorinated monomer. The second fluoropolymer is selected from a category other than the category in which the first fluoropolymer is selected. The minor component also can include interpolymerized units of a PAVE, and/or a PAOVE. A method of improving surface properties in a fluoropolymer extrudate is also provided.

摘要： A solar panel backside film used in solar panel constructions. The film comprises a PET film having a net peak area as measured by differential scanning calorimetry of about −15 J/g to about 5 J/g measured from the endpoint of the glass transition (Tg) up to 230° C., and an additive to opacify the PET film. A polymeric layer is adhered to the PET film to create a solar panel backside film. The solar panel backside film generally has a reflectivity of 50% or greater at a point in the visible range of light. Additionally, the solar panel backside film, when applied to a solar panel and exposed to 2000 hours at 85° C. and 85% relative humidity, does not result in exfoliation or visible cracks in the PET film.
