    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anaerobic treatment method and an anaerobic treatment system by which the concentration of anaerobic sludge in an upward flow type anaerobic treatment tank is kept high and the treatment efficiency of organic waste water is improved as a result. SOLUTION: Organic waste water flowing upward in the upward flow type anaerobic treatment tank 12 included in an aerobic treatment apparatus 10 is passed through the anaerobic sludge 14 to be anaerobically treated. Floating sludge floating up in the upward flow type anaerobic treatment tank is collected in a collection apparatus 30 and an inorganic coagulant is added to the collected floating sludge in a coagulation apparatus 50, so that the floating sludge is coagulated to be formed into coagulated sludge.
