    • The present invention discloses an automatic semiconductor device classification system including a current measuring unit, a data memory, a processor connected to the data memory and the current measuring unit, and an output unit connected to the processor. Patterns of curves representing approximate I-V characteristics between predetermined electrodes of semiconductor devices are automatically determined and the approximate I-V characteristics are classified into predetermined categories. The data memory stores the discrete I-V relations, and further stores a first control voltage, a first threshold current value at the first control voltage, a second control voltage corresponding to the second control voltage. The processor includes an acquisition circuit, a comparison circuit and a classification circuit. In the acquisition circuit, the first decision current value at the first control voltage and the second decision current value at the second control voltage are obtained using the measured results. In the comparison circuit, the first decision current value is compared with the first threshold current value stored in the data memory and the second decision current value is compared with the second threshold current value stored in the data memory. In the classification circuit, the patterns of the curves representing the approximate I-V characteristics are determined and classification is performed.

    • A system and method for the conversion of digital signals to analog signals increases the resolution of the output analog signal beyond the analog quantization size associated with the given input digital word length. The rate of change of the Least Significant Bits (LSB)is detected. The "square waves" produced by changes in the polarity of the LSB correspond to low amplitude signals comprising audible high frequency components. The high frequency noise associated with these detected low signal levels is attenuated by digital low pass filters of varying cut-off frequencies at the output stage. This creates a signal of a resolution higher than the step size inherent in the length of the input digital word, and reduces high frequency noise at low signal amplitudes, resulting in a smooth analog output signal.

    • A system and method for identifying a communication connection with an interim identifier prior to recognition of an original or previous identifier received via the connection. A first server or server process receives a service request (e.g., for an application, a web page or other data), and associates an original identifier with the request via one or more log entries. The request is forwarded to a second server or server process for additional or final processing. The second server associates an interim identifier with the communication connection established to receive the service request from the first server. The interim identifier is logged with one or more events associated with establishment of the connection and/or receipt and processing of the service request. When the original identifier is read and recognized, the interim identifier is bridged or mapped to the original identifier via a distinct log entry.
