    • A power tool has guide bar guiding a saw chain. A drive motor with a sprocket drives the saw chain. A sprocket compartment of the power tool housing has a peripheral wall adjacent to a roof of the saw chain and an ejection opening for cut material. The guide bar has a longitudinal center axis intersecting the saw chain in first and second deflection areas at the sprocket and the nose of the guide bar. The sprocket compartment has an exit opening where the saw chain exits. The peripheral wall of the sprocket compartment and the roof of the saw chain are disposed at a spacing relative to each other that, when the saw chain is standing still, is less than approximately 18 mm at least across 50% of a stretch from the first deflection area to the exit opening and across an entire saw chain width.

    • The invention relates to a work device with a guide rail (4) on which a chain (5) is driven in a circulating manner. The work device has a clamping device (15) for the chain (5). The clamping device (15) has a clamping element (16) which acts on en the guide rail (4) in the direction (19) of the longitudinal central axis (18) of the guide rail (4). The clamping device (15) has a rotatably mounted adjusting element (17) which is connected to the clamping element (16) via a threaded connection (20). A rotation of the adjusting element (17) about its rotational axis (21) causes a movement of the clamping element (16) in the direction (19) of the longitudinal central axis (18) of the guide rail (4). The outer circumference of the adjusting element (17) has a threaded portion (22) with at least one turn (23), said threaded portion being provided for engaging with at least one threaded portion (24) of the clamping element (16). The adjusting element (17) has an actuating contour (39) so that a user can rotate the adjusting element (17), said actuating contour comprising at least one depression. The largest spacing (b) between the threaded portion (22) of the adjusting element (17) and the rotational axis (21) is at least as large as the largest spacing (a) between the actuating contour (39) and the rotational axis (21).

    • A work apparatus has a work tool and a combustion engine for driving the work tool and further includes a start enrichment device for the combustion engine. The start enrichment device has a start position and is actuated via an operating mode selector. The work apparatus has a braking arrangement which brakes the work tool in the actuated position and releases the work tool in the unactuated position, and also an actuating device for the braking arrangement. To ensure that the start position can only be engaged when the braking arrangement is actuated, the work apparatus has a blocking device which prevents engagement of the start position in a blocking position. The braking arrangement is coupled to the blocking device such that the blocking device is in the blocking position with the braking arrangement in the unactuated position.

    • A cutting chain for a hand-operated implement for cutting metal and mineral materials such as a stone cutter has central connecting links which are connected to one another by lateral connecting links. The central connecting links comprise first central connecting links which each have a drive tooth. The cutting chain has two central connecting links with drive teeth shaped differently to the drive teeth on the first central connecting links; or located a different distance from the leading drive teeth; or having no drive teeth. A hand-operated implement for cutting mineral materials has a drive motor which drives the cutting chain around a guide bar by a drive sprocket. The cutting chain is guided round part of the circumference of the drive sprocket and round a nose sprocket on the guide bar. The drive sprocket or nose sprocket have different first and second areas matched to the cutting chain.
