    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure fluctuation of a long rail, which is performed by manual operation and its working efficiency is conventionally low, similar to a rail joint opening measuring in a train traveling at high speed.
      SOLUTION: A rail side laser oscillator is driven by a drive signal transmitted from an on-vehicle transmitter and outputs a leveling string substitute laser beam, and an on-vehicle light receiving sensor receives the leveling string substitute laser beam and outputs a leveling string substitute signal. An on-vehicle identifier sensor detects a punch mark substitute and a rail joint opening/long identifier on the rail and outputs a punch mark substitute signal and a rail joint opening/long determination signal. A rail joint opening measurement and a long measurement are changed over based on the rail joint opening/long identifier signal, an on-vehicle laser doppler sensor outputs a doppler signal, an on-vehicle rail joint opening identifier sensor outputs the rail joint opening identifier signal. When it is changed over into the long measurement based on the rail joint opening/long determination signal, the fluctuation of the long rail is measure based on the leveling string substitute signal, the punch mark substitute signal, and the doppler signal, and when it is changed over into the rail joint opening measurement, the rail joint opening is measured.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the peripheral speed acquiring accuracy of the objective method by acquiring the peripheral speeds of two gears meshed with each other at their meshing contact points from the peripheral speed of each gear at a plurality of positions having different phases. CONSTITUTION:The peripheral speeds Va and Vb of a rotating surface 66 which rotates together with a gear 100 to be measured in one body at two locations where the phase respectively differs by 180 deg. and 90 deg. in the rotating direction from the meshing contact point Pc of the surface 66 with the other gear 102 meshed with the gear 100 are acquired. Assuming that the center O1 of the gear 100 is displaced only in the tangential direction of the contact Pc, the peripheral speed V1 of the gear 100 at the contact point Pc becomes (R1/R+1)Vb-Va (where, r1 and R respectively represent the pitch circle radius of the gear 100 and radius of the surface 66). Therefore, the peripheral speed V1 can be found from the peripheral speeds Va and Vb and the error of the gear 100 can be detected from the difference between the peripheral speed V1 and the peripheral speed V2 of the gear 102 at the contact Pc.
