    • PURPOSE: A signal detection apparatus for a MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system using channel coding and a method thereof are provided to reduce the complexity of a QRD-M detection algorithm. CONSTITUTION: QR analysis of a channel matrix H of a received signal is operated. An LLR(Log-Likelihood Ratio) value is calculated based on a tree structure which uses QR analysis(360). The calculated LLR value is determined as the input of a channel decoder for the channel coding. All of the branches is connected to each other. A candidate list is generated. The LLR value is calculated about each symbol bit based on the generated candidate list.
