CONSTITUTION: An electrode assembly(600) comprises a separator inserted between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, each of which have current collectors that are coated with an electrode active material-containing mixture. The positive electrode(620) consists of a structure in which aluminum foil(621) is coated with the positive electrode mixture(625). The negative electrode(610) consists of a structure in which metal foil(611) is coated with a negative electrode mixture(615). Based on the whole electrode assembly, the amount of the positive electrode active material in the positive electrode mixture is smaller than the amount of the negative electrode active material in the negative electrode active material. The positive electrode thin portion(630) is in a side part of a current collector, in which an electrode terminal is located, and has a thickness that is 60% or less of the thickness of the coating layer on other parts of the positive electrode.
