    • A multi-channel allocation method for improving the performance of relay multicast in an IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers)802.11 network is provided to be capable of selecting optimum relay nodes by receiving a report on interference coverage and candidate relay nodes from each node, so that interference is minimized by using multi-channel among the selected relay nodes, consequently throughput is increased. Information of an MS(Mobile Station) is received to bind APs(Access Points) into sets for minimizing interference. Channels are allocated from a set where the most nodes are included, by using information on the sets, and the information received from the MS is analyzed to form an interference map, to check whether the channels are reusable. When the channels are allocated, the APs decide whether each relay node influences nodes of other relay groups. The APs allocate the same channels to groups where the interference does not occur, and allocate other channels to groups where the interference occurs, to minimize usage of the channels.

    • PURPOSE: A buffer-based scheduler for transmitting diverse multimedia traffic in a CDMA2000 1x EV-DO system is provided to enable a base station to effectively distribute radio resources according to a changing transmission environment by setting the amount of buffer as a major criterion for scheduling in consideration of characteristics of a streaming service. CONSTITUTION: A base station receives a channel situation and state information of a buffer through each user terminal. A reverse link of a CDMA 1x EV-DO system can inform the base station about the channel situation of each user terminal at every 1.67ms through a DRC(Data rate Request Channel), and at this time, the reverse link also informs the base station about a state of the buffer, namely a ratio between a total size of the buffer and a current capacity of the buffer. The base station reflects the information for scheduling with respect to a real time streaming service. For a best effort service, an existing PF(Proportional Fairness) scheduling method is adopted and compensation is made accordingly.
