      버스전극은 방전영역 내부에 배치되며, 비방전영역에 배치되는 보조 버스전극을 더 포함한다.
      본 발명은 버스전극 외에 방전에 참여하지 않는 보조버스전극을 격벽 위에 형성함으로써, 버스전극의 선폭을 얇게 하여 단선이 발생하더라도 보조 버스전극에 의해 전기적으로 연결되도록 한다.
      또한, 발명은 버스전극의 간격(d1)과 선폭(w1) 비율(d1/w1)을 2.5 이상 10 이하로 설정함으로써, 강한 전계 효과에 의해 방전효율이 상승한다. 그리고 얇아진 버스전극 선폭으로 가시광을 차단하는 면적이 감소하여 발광효율을 상승시킨다.
      마지막으로, 버스전극 두께(t1)와 선폭(w1)의 비율(t1/w1)을 0.125 이상 0.75 이하로 설정함으로써, 유전체가 얇아지는 효과에 의해 강한 전계 효과가 발생하여 방전 효율 및 발광 효율이 상승하는 효과가 있다.

    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to improve an efficiency of an electric discharge by lengthening a discharge path. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises a sidewall(86), an address electrode(72), a scan/sustain electrode(74), and a common sustain electrode(76). The sidewall is formed between a top substrate and a bottom substrate. The address electrode is formed parallel to the sidewall on the bottom substrate. The scan/sustain electrode has a first electrode(74A) which cross the address electrode, and a second electrode(74B) which is constituted by a part corresponding to the first electrode at lower part of the first electrode. The second electrode has relatively narrow converse-trapezoid shape comparison with the first electrode. The common sustain electrode has a third electrode(76A) which cross the address electrode, and a fourth electrode(76B) which is constituted by a part corresponding to the third electrode at lower part of the third electrode. The fourth electrode has relatively wide trapezoid shape comparison with the third electrode.

    • PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to be capable of being rapidly driven at low voltage by using a metal layer. CONSTITUTION: A PDP(Plasma Display Panel) comprises a pair of maintenance electrodes(44,46) formed on the upper portion of an upper substrate for maintenance discharge, an address electrode(52) formed on the upper portion of a lower electrode for supplying address voltage, a dielectric layer formed on the address electrode for accumulating wall-charge, and a metal layer(60) formed on the dielectric layer for condensing the wall-charge at the center portion of a discharge cell. Preferably, the metal layer is formed at both sides of the maintenance electrodes. Preferably, the metal layer is formed and spaced apart from the maintenance electrodes.
