    • A light emitting element and a manufacturing method thereof, and a light emitting device using the light emitting element are provided to suppress damages on a layer with an organic material during deposition by providing a layer with a metal oxide between a pair of electrodes. A light-emitting element(210) is formed on a substrate(200) for supporting the light-emitting element(210). The light-emitting element(210) includes a first electrode(201), first through fifth layers(202-206) laminated on the first electrode(201) in order, and a second electrode(207) further formed thereon. The first electrode(201) functions as a cathode and the second electrode(207) functions as an anode. The first layer(202) is a layer having a highly electron injecting material, the second layer(203) is a layer having a highly electron transporting material, the third layer(204) is a layer having a highly luminescent material, the fourth layer(205) is a layer having a highly hole transporting material, and the fifth layer(206) is a layer having a metal oxide.
