摘要： A power tool, such as a pipe cutter, includes a rotatable cutting head assembly, an electric motor connectable to a rechargeable battery, and a controller. The controller is configured to monitor the state of charge on the battery, compare the state of charge to one or more thresholds, and prevent or limit operation of the power tool when the state of charge is less than or equal to one or more of the thresholds. In some embodiments, the threshold includes the state of charge required to cut a pipe, the state of charge required to return the cutting head assembly to a home position, and a state of charge indicative of an overdischarged condition of the battery. In some embodiments, the controller is configured to detect when the pipe cutter has completed cutting the pipe and returns the cutting head assembly to the home position.

摘要： A tool operable to expand an end of a pipe includes a plurality of jaws movable between a closed position and an expanded position and rotatable about a longitudinal axis and a rotation collar rotationally coupled to each of the plurality of jaws. A shuttle is selectively engageable with the rotation collar and is rotatable between a first orientation and a second orientation and a spindle is movable between a first position in which the shuttle is in the first orientation and is disengaged from the rotation collar, a second position in which the shuttle is in the first orientation and is engaged with the rotation collar, and a third position in which the shuttle and the rotation collar are rotated together to the second orientation. The rotation of the rotation collar produces a corresponding rotation of the plurality of jaws while the plurality of jaws is in the closed position. Movement of the spindle to a fourth position moves the plurality of jaws to the expanded position and maintains the engagement of the shuttle and the rotation collar in the second orientation.

摘要： A grease gun includes a housing, a motor positioned within the housing, a pump assembly coupled to and driven by the motor, and a chamber supported by the housing in fluid communication with the pump assembly. The chamber is configured to store a liquid. The grease gun also includes an outlet in fluid communication with the chamber and a measurement system operable to measure an amount of liquid being dispensed through the outlet. The measurement system monitors a change in current of the motor over a cycle of the pump assembly, compares the change in current to a predetermined value, and, if the change in current is greater than the predetermined value, increases a pump cycle counter to indicate that liquid was dispensed.

摘要： A powered dispensing tool includes a housing, a motor positioned within the housing, a rack coupled to the motor for powered translation in at least one of a forward direction and a reverse direction, and a transmission selectively coupling the motor and the rack. The transmission includes an input ring rotatable in response to rotation of the motor in a first direction corresponding with powered translation of the rack in the forward direction, a first clutch member engaged with the rack through an intermediate gear, and a second clutch member that receives torque from the input ring and that is movable in response to rotation of the motor in the first direction toward a first position engaging the first clutch member. The second clutch member is also movable in response to rotation of the motor in an opposite, second direction toward a second position disengaged from the first clutch member.
