    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply and a fuel cell system which require a series of multiple actions and big detaching/attaching force for detachment/attachment to prevent operation which is not intended by a user and incorrect operation related to detachment/attachment of the fuel supply from/to a fuel cell main body.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system is constituted by a fuel nozzle 510 connected to a fuel derivation valve of a fuel cartridge 500, a coupling member 560 which can be connected to the fuel nozzle 510 and is a fuel inlet of a main body 514 and a pin 562 supporting the coupling member 560 pivotably on the main body 514. In order to mount the fuel cartridge 500 on the main body 514, the fuel cell system performs first operation for adjusting a direction of the fuel nozzle 510 to the coupling member 560 pivotally supported in an oblique upper direction, moving the fuel cartridge 500 in an I1 direction and bringing a tip of the fuel nozzle 510 into contact with the coupling member 560, and performs second operation for rotating the fuel cartridge 500 to a horizontal position in an R1 direction with the pin 562 of the coupling member 560 as a fulcrum to complete coupling.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cartridge for fuel cells which permits fuel to be replaced and recharged easily, and one or more of whose components are blow moldable.SOLUTION: One fuel cartridge 10 includes an outer casing 12, an inner liner 14 containing fuel, and a valve element 30 which is adapted so as to carry the fuel from a fuel supply to a fuel cell. The outer casing and the inner liner are manufactured by blow molding, and are designed so that when the fuel is carried from the fuel supply, the inner liner is extracted from the outer casing. Other fuel cartridges each include an outer casing, an inner liner containing fuel, and a valve element which is adapted so as to carry fuel from a fuel supply to a fuel cell. The inner liner is integrated with the outer casing in an area where the outer casing and the valve element are located.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel supply including multiple valve elements and a fuel supply device whose operation resistance to attachment and/or detachment of the fuel supply is increased.SOLUTION: A cartridge 725 comprises a slide gate 746 configured to cover a valve element 726 or a sensor/protrusion 740, or both of them. The gate 746 is loaded with a spring 748, the gate 746 is biased to a coating position. The gate 746 becomes movable to an opening position prior to insertion of a cartridge 725 into a container 730. This enables exposure of the valve element 726 or sensor/protrusion 740. The gate 746 can be made to be opened by a user or with other force such as magnetic or electric force.
