    • A rotary intake and exhaust system for an internal combustion piston engine that includes an engine having at least one cylinder and piston that define a combustion chamber. A crankshaft is coupled to the piston for moving the piston within the cylinder. A cylinder head is positioned to interface with the combustion chamber and includes a combustion chamber transfer port, and bifurcated intake and exhaust passages, called ports or tracts, formed therein. A driven rotatable shaft is positioned in the cylinder head to interact with the combustion chamber transfer port. The shaft includes intake and exhaust ports wherein rotation of the shaft transfers fluids and gases in and out of the combustion chamber.

    • A jet propulsion system includes an inlet receiving a fluid, and a housing defining a discharge nozzle through which fluid is discharged to provide propulsion of a vehicle in a first direction. The jet propulsion system also includes a reverse mechanism movable between a deployed position redirecting fluid from the discharge nozzle toward the first direction and providing propulsion of the vehicle in a second direction substantially opposite the first direction and a non-deployed position allowing fluid to exit the discharge nozzle and provide propulsion of the vehicle in the first direction. The reverse mechanism produces a flow entrainment that enhances forward thrust while the reverse mechanism is in the non-deployed position which results in a net thrust gain over the thrust attributed to the discharge nozzle alone.

    • A high-speed boat includes a hull having multiple sponsons. At least one propulsion unit is disposed on the hull. The propulsion unit is moveable with respect to the boat hull adjusting a thrust vector of the propulsion unit. In another aspect, the high-speed boat may include a hull having fore and aft portions. The fore portion includes multiple sponsons. At least one moveable step is attached to one of the sponsons, dynamically adjusting that sponson's relative contact position with respect to a water surface. In another aspect, the high-speed boat may include a hull having multiple sponsons separated by a forward hull portion. The forward hull portion includes a top surface and a bottom surface. At least one adjustable dump vent is formed on the bottom surface of the forward hull portion. The dump vent includes a door moveable with respect to the dump vent for controlling a volume of air released through the dump vent. The dump vent extends from the bottom surface to the top surface of the forward hull portion. In another aspect, the high-speed boat may include a hull including a pair of sponsons separated by a forward hull portion. The forward hull portion includes a top surface and bottom surface. At least one static vent is formed on the bottom surface of the forward hull portion. The static vent extends from the bottom surface to the top surface of the forward hull portion. In another aspect, the high-speed boat 20 may be integrated with a dynamic vessel control system.

    • An actuator mounting assembly includes an actuator and a bearing removably attached to the actuator. A bearing plate includes a hole formed therein for receiving the bearing. A bearing mounting plate includes a hole formed therein for receiving the bearing. First and second bearing inserts are removably disposed about the holes formed in the bearing plate and bearing mounting plate. The bearing mounting plate and bearing plate are coupled to retain the bearing and bearing inserts therebetween firming a seal wherein the actuator is angularly movable about the bearing.
