摘要： A sample age monitor for monitoring the age of a biological sample, said sample age monitor comprising a release device to provide an age indicator into a medium preferably comprising the sample substantially predictably such that an age estimate of the sample is determinable by measuring a level of the age indicator. A biological sample holder including the sample age monitor is also described. The device may be employed to determine the age of a blood sample, and hence whether the results of lab analysis of the sample are reliable. In one embodiment the release device comprises a container holding a storage medium storing the age indicator. The age indicator may comprise a metal, in particular, lithium ion.

[Classes 60 and 124] An abrasive tool comprises a rigid support faced with a metal mesh member loaded with abrasive particles and a bonding agent. The mesh member lies substantially flush with the abrasive particles. The support 6 of aluminium, brass, copper or other material is placed within a mould 2, 4 after being coated with a layer of cementitious material 12 such as resin dissolved in denatured alcohol. The plug 14 is inserted, a layer of bonding material 16 is added and above this a ring of aluminium, brass or copper gauze coated with resin solution and loaded by hand, whilst the cement is still wet, with diamond particles. The follower ring 26 is placed in the mould and the assembly is subjected to a pressure of from 1000 to 1500 pounds per sq. in. at a temperature of 320‹F. for about five minutes, the bonding material being a mixture of two parts of dry resin to one part of short fibre asbestos. A ring of material known under the Registered Trade Mark " Cellophane " may be placed between the grinding wheel and the follower ring. The gauze may be from 240 to 80 mesh, the particles being screened from 200 to 60 mesh. A number of superimposed loaded gauze rings with bonding material between may be employed and Fig. 6 shows a severing wheel built up from four such layers the outside layers overlapping the support disc. When very fine particles are employed they may be mixed with the bonding material which may be further loaded with powdered metals.

For example, the forward direction is in a direction away from a user gripping the pole.

摘要： A joint for connecting a tubular member (1) to a node (3) in a space frame is disclosed. The joint includes a cap (5), for attachment to the tubular member (1), a bolt (31) for connection to a node and a connecting member (9). The bolt is arranged to pass through an opening in the connecting member (9) with the bolt head (35) being arranged to abutt against a shoulder (21) of the connecting member (9). In order to connect the tubular member (1) to the node (3) complementary threaded portions on the cap (5) and connecting member (9) are engaged one with another and the connecting member (9) is tightened, thus joining the member (1) to the node (3). The thread direction on the cap (5) is opposite to that of the bolt (31).

The pressure of moulding may be 1,000 to 4,000 pounds per sq. inch, and the porosity may be controlled. The weight of metal exceeds the abrasive. Examples specify copper and tin of 200 mesh and diamond of 240 to 300 mesh.
