摘要： A radio resource allocating method in an adaptive antenna system is provided. The radio resource allocating method includes selecting one user when there are one or more users allocable to a current spatial frame; calculating a sum of Modulation order Product code Rate (MPR) values with respect to users allocated a same radio resource including the selected user when a total transmit power of a Base Station (BS) is divided by a current spatial frame index; and allocating the selected user to the current spatial frame by taking into account the calculated sum and a sum of MPR values with respect to users allocated to a previous spatial frame. Accordingly, a system throughput or a scheduler performance can be maximized.

A communication method includes broadcasting, by a Base Station (BS), a neighbor advertisement message including neighbor cell information through each Frequency Allocation (FA); analyzing the neighbor cell advertise message by a plurality of Media Access Control (MAC) processors of an Mobile Station (MS) to obtain FA configuration information of each neighbor cell; independently determining handover by the MAC processors of the MS; generating the start of handover by one MAC which first determines handover; and determining a handover target by the remaining MAC processors so that handover is performed to different FAs of the same BS of the MAC processor which generates the start of handover by using the FA configuration information of each neighbor cell.

A communication method of a Base Station (BS) includes determining a frame structure to be provided. A MAP message including an indicator that indicates a new standard is generated, when the provided frame structure conforms to the new standard. The generated MAP message is transmitted by performing physical layer encoding thereon. Accordingly, signaling is defined to report a currently provided frame structure to an MS, and thus, a system can support different frame structures.

摘要： Radio resource allocation apparatus and method in a multi-channel system are provided. The method includes determining a type of a channel to be allocated to terminals, which request a resource allocation. When there is a terminal to be assigned the band AMC channel, necessary resources are allocated to the terminal as resources of the band AMC channel within a frequency band preferred by the terminal. A virtual resource space is generated which collects resources not allocated as the resources of the band AMC channel. Resources are allocated to terminals to be assigned the diversity channel from within the virtual resource space. Accordingly, the radio resources can be efficiently allocated in the multi-channel system where the diversity channel and the band AMC channel coexist.

The scheduler allocates a data burst, extracts a surplus power resource from each channel band, redistributes the extracted surplus power resource to the data burst, outputs redistributed transmission power information to a power controller, and outputs allocated burst information and the data burst to a modulation block. The power controller receives the transmission power information from the scheduler, and outputs a weight associated with a transmission power. The multiplier receives a frequency domain signal, multiplies the received frequency domain signal by the weight, and outputs the multiplied result to an IFFT operator.
