    • A personal digital assistant (PDA) apparatus and a recording and reproduction apparatus improved in convenience in use by reflecting the viewing situation in the PDA into the recording and reproduction apparatus are provided. The PDA includes a reception unit for perceiving a broadcast signal including program information, a communication unit for communicating with the recording and reproduction apparatus, which records/reproduces a broadcast signal, a display unit for displaying the program information and video information included in the broadcast signal, a storage unit for storing viewing history of a received and displayed video signal, and an operation unit for operating viewing in the apparatus. Based on viewing history stored in the storage unit, an order signal is sent to the recording and reproduction apparatus via the communication unit to order reproduction of information relating to the viewing history from among information stored in the recording and reproduction apparatus.

    • A short-distance radio communication in a steady situation and a long-distance radio communication in an unsteady situation are dynamically switched in a radio communication network, and a steady communication and an unsteady communication are realized through the same radio communication network without affecting the respective communication qualities. A radio communication network system includes radio terminals that enable a multihop communication, and a radio base station. The radio base station and the radio terminals communicate with each other by at least two kinds of transmission radio wave powers. The transmission radio wave power is variably controlled according to a measurement data value by sensors of the radio terminals, or a content of data received by a data communication. Also, respective transmission times of the radio terminals, the radio relay station, and the radio base station are determined, and the transmission times do not change even if the transmission radio wave power changes (refer to FIG. 1).

    • A multimode wireless terminal suitable for received level monitoring for a base station serving as an intersystem handover destination includes a first wireless transmitter-receiver unit for GSM, a second wireless transmitter-receiver unit for WCDMA, and a communication processor unit and an antenna switch unit connected to these wireless transmitter-receiver units. While conducting communication with a WCDMA network system via the second wireless transmitter-receiver unit, a level of a signal received from a GSM base station is monitored via the first wireless transmitter-receiver unit. A communication processor unit determines whether the level monitoring is interfered with by a WCDMA transmission signal, on the basis of a relation between a WCDMA transmission frequency and a reception frequency supplied from the GSM base station. If interference occurs, then the communication processor unit changes circuit characteristics of the first or second wireless transmitter-receiver unit, and thereby suppresses the interference.
