    • A method and device for aligning and connecting an optical fiber (or device) with another optical device, are disclosed. The method rotates the optical fiber about three axes that intersect at the end surface of the fiber core so that rotation of the fiber does not cause a translation of the end of the fiber. This allows the alignment to be done quickly and accurately. Further, by making one of the axes co-linear with the longitudinal axis of the fiber, variations or defects in the end surface (or a lens mounted thereon) can be accounted for in the alignment procedure. Once aligned the housings of the optical devices are soldered together using a hot air nozzle. The nozzle can then direct cool air toward the housings to rapidly cool the solder, or the temperature of the air can be slowly ramped down to provide for controlled cooling of the solder.

    • A pair of eyeglasses having a frame with interchangeable lenses and a method of interchanging the lenses. The frame has a centrally located nosepiece and two end portions. Each lens has a substantially circular aperture adjacent the nosepiece of the frame and a notch adjacent a respective end portion of the frame. The notch fits over a corresponding tang in the frame end to secure the outer portion of the lens while protruding pins on the frame adjacent the nosepiece engage the circular aperture of each lens. A hinged locking mechanism is snapped over that portion of the lens engaging the pins, preventing disengagement of the lenses from the pins. To replace the lenses, the hinged locking mechanism is opened, allowing the lenses to be disengaged from the pins and pulled from the tangs.

    • A traffic cone has an annular base and a hollow conical body. The annular base has an annular panel having multiple through holes, and multiple first feet protruding down from the annular panel. The conical body has a conical portion and a covering panel radially protruding from a bottom peripheral edge of the conical portion and wrapped on the annular panel. Moreover, even if the traffic cone is bumped or is run over by cars, the annular and the conical body do not separate from each other easily so the traffic cone has prolonged life for use.

    • A traffic cone has a conical body and at least one reflective sleeve. The at least one reflective sleeve is mounted on and around a conical portion of the conical body. Multiple adhering portions and multiple non-adhering portions are alternately arranged on a laminating surface of the at least one reflective sleeve. The adhering portions are adhered to the conical portion of the conical body. Thus, even though the at least one reflective sleeve and the conical body are different materials and have different coefficients of thermal expansion, the non-adhering portions provide rooms for expansion of the conical portion and the at least one reflective sleeve. Therefore, the at least one reflective sleeve is capable of remaining smoothly and securely attached despite the traffic cone being exposed to significant variations in the temperature of the environment.

    • According to one exemplary embodiment, a method for monitoring structural integrity of at least one fuse in semiconductor wafer, which includes at least one electrical monitoring structure, includes forming a monitoring window in a dielectric layer overlying the at least one electrical monitoring structure, where the monitoring window and a fuse window overlying the at least one fuse are, in one embodiment, formed in a same etch process. The method further includes performing at least one electrical measurement on the at least one electrical monitoring structure, wherein the at least one electrical measurement is utilized to monitor the structural integrity of the at least one fuse. A change in the at least one electrical measurement is utilized to indicate a change in the structural integrity of the at least one fuse. The at least one electrical monitoring structure can include, for example, a metal serpentine line and one or more metal combs.
