    • The object of the present invention is to provide an external speaker for mobile phones, intended to prevent malfunction of a mobile phone caused by a leakage magnetic field. The external speaker includes a tapered cylindrical casing (11). A connector seating hole (27) is provided on an upper surface of the casing, and voice outlets (12) are provided on a sidewall of the casing to emit sound output from the speaker unit. A connector (13) is seated in the connector seating hole of the casing, and detachably connected to a mobile phone mechanically and electrically. A speaker unit is provided in the casing, and electrically connected to a voice output terminal of the mobile phone through the connector, thus outputting voice, while calling. A shielding plate (30, 32) is provided in the casing to be positioned above and/or under the speaker unit.

    • Disclosed herein is an ultrasonic sensor having a water-repellent function. More specifically, disclosed is an ultrasonic sensor having a sound-emitting opening in the upper portion of an external housing, wherein a support having a water-repellent film formed thereon is attached to the upper portion of the external housing, which includes the sound-emitting opening. According to the disclosed invention, a substantially closed ultrasonic sensor is realized by attaching the support, having the water-repellent film formed thereon, to an open ultrasonic sensor. Specifically, if the ultrasonic sensor having a water-repellent function is used, characteristics such as sensitivity and directivity of the open ultrasonic sensor, which has a high degree of freedom of design and high energy conversion efficiency, can be maintained at suitable levels and, at the same time, liquid such as water or oil can be prevented from penetrating into the ultrasonic sensor. Thus, the disclosed ultrasonic sensor having a water-repellent function can be stably used even in an outdoor environment where it is difficult to use an open ultrasonic sensor. Specifically, the disclosed ultrasonic sensor can be applied to range finders, invasion-preventing systems, intelligent robots, high-tech electronic industrial products, etc.
