This achieves higher load change cycles so that higher fields of gravity are possible without the occurrence of the usual material fatigue in the area of the grooves receiving the bearing-pins, that is, of fissuration, because the bottom surface has a cup-shaped indentation which, in the peak area of the curved surface is located ajacent to the latter, and there is at least one slot opening into the indentation in the peak area of the curved surface.

摘要： The invention contemplates apparatus for simultaneous photometric observation of a plurality of elements in a liquid sample, wherein a dilute solution of the sample is atomized and fed to an elongate steady flame and wherein light from a hollow-cathode lamp, and containing at least one narrow-band emission line of one of the elements to be determined, is directed through the flame; plural photoelectric receivers, each with an associated filter unique to a line characteristic of a different specific element to be determined, are disposed to respond to light passing through the flame or to light emitted by the flame, as the case may be. The detected outputs of the receivers are fed to a computer for evaluation, the outputs of emission receivers being first electronically processed for the effective removal of "dust flashes" in the flame.

摘要： A high methane gas which can be substituted for natural gas is produced from a primary gas made by the gasification of coal, tar, or heavy residual oil under superatmospheric pressures. The primary gas is purified to remove catalyst poisons and is scrubbed to remove carbon dioxide to a residual content below 2% by volume. The water vapor to carbon monoxide volume ratio of the scrubbed gas is adjusted to 0.55 : 1 to 1 : 1 and is then passed through a reaction zone containing a shift conversion catalyst and a methanation catalyst in a volume ratio of approximately 1 : 4 to 1 : 10. The scrubbed gas entering the reaction zone enters the reaction zone at a temperature of 300.degree.-500.degree. C.

摘要： A gas which can be substituted for natural gas is produced from a raw gas containing hydrogen and carbon oxides which is produced by the gasification of coal, tar or heavy residual oils under superatmospheric pressure. The raw gas is cooled, purified to remove catalyst poisons, particularly sulfur compounds, and then subjected to methanation and at least two stages in contact with nickel catalysts under pressures of 5-100 bars and at temperatures in the range of 200.degree.-500.degree. C. The product gas from the preceding methanation stage is reacted in the last methanation stage in contact with a catalyst which is indirectly cooled by a gas flowing in a countercurrent to the gas to be reacted.

摘要： A system for inspecting specimens such as semiconductor wafers is provided. The system provides scanning of dual-sided specimens using a diffraction grating that widens and passes nth order (n>0) wave fronts to the specimen surface and a reflective surface for each channel of the light beam. Two channels and two reflective surfaces are preferably employed, and the wavefronts are combined using a second diffraction grating and passed to a camera system having a desired aspect ratio. The system preferably comprises a damping arrangement which filters unwanted acoustic and seismic vibration, including an optics arrangement which scans a first portion of the specimen and a translation or rotation arrangement for translating or rotating the specimen to a position where the optics arrangement can scan the remaining portion(s) of the specimen. The system further includes-means for stitching scans together, providing for smaller and less expensive optical elements.

摘要： An apparatus for the application of steam onto a paper web has a steam blower box with numerous zone chambers arranged side by side over the web width. The steam blower box is displaceable so that the spacing between it and the web path is adjustable. A steam supply line extends from each zone chamber in the longitudinal direction through the interior of the steam blower box, and from there outward to a support plate. There the clearance between adjacent steam lines is substantially greater than in the interior of the steam blower box. A steam control valve, that is connected via a flexible line to the support plate, is provided for each zone chamber laterally outside the paper-making machine.
