The first and second spray devices are so constituted that overlapped spray patterns are formed on a substrate, a droplet of a first liquid containing at least one kind of a biocompatible polymer is delivered through the first spray device, and a droplet of a second liquid containing a non-solvent for the polymer is delivered through the second spray device at a distance selected in advance and a relative translational speed selected in advance.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a method and an apparatus for delivering a therapeutic device (e.g., embolic coil) to a target site in a patient's body from a delivery tube.SOLUTION: A heating element is arranged in a delivery tube capable of being actuated by remote control. The heating element is coated with a layer of a low-temperature adhesive so that a therapeutic device can be held. For example, a kicker assuming a form of a compression spring is attached in the delivery tube, and brought into contact with the therapeutic device to apply a constant ejector force against an adhesive force of the low-temperature adhesive. When the heating element is actuated, the ejector force of the spring exceeds the adhesive force of the softened adhesive to forcedly push out the therapeutic device from the delivery tube.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for separating a therapeutic device such as an embolic coil from a delivery tube in a target site in a patient's body.SOLUTION: A system includes a bead which is arranged at a distal end of a therapeutic device and which retains the therapeutic device to a delivery tube in a first configuration in the state of being compressed by a series of connectors. The series of connectors comprise an expansion/contraction-resistant member, and the bead is attached to an anchor inside the therapeutic device via the expansion/contraction-resistant member. In addition, the anchor is arranged in a thermally-responsive component which is configured to release the anchor by melting or changing a shape and to similarly release the bead and the therapeutic device and which is made of a polymeric material. Energy can be supplied to the thermally-responsive component via an electric conductor, and a resistive heating component can be arranged inside the delivery tube.

Insertable through the lumen and extending proximally beyond the proximal end of the delivery tube is a detachable wire with a terminating feature disposed on its distal end. At least one stretch resistant member is disposed within a lumen formed by the embolic coil. A distal end of each of the at least one stretch resistant members is secured to a distal end of the embolic coil, while each of the at least one stretch resistant members is also secured proximately to the proximal end of the embolic coil. The distal end of the delivery tube is retained by the wire physically without being attached in any way to the proximal junction.
