摘要： An elevator system has on each floor hall call buttons that are interconnected with piconet modules (15), such as modules conforming to BLUETOOTH TM specifications; similar piconet modules (16) may be associated with hall fixtures such as lanterns and gongs; similar piconet modules (50) may be associated with hoistway doors, on each floor, so as to form a wireless communication system with a similar piconet module (19) at the controller (18); and a piconet module (40) may be associated with the car operating panel. A module (43) may be interconnected with the car door lock switch; a module (44) may be interconnected with a safety switch; modules (48) and (49) may be interconnected with lower and upper limit switches; and a module (49) may be interconnected with an overspeed detector, so as to form a safety chain. A prospective passenger (53) may carry a portable device with a piconet module (54) to request elevator service and receive acknowledgment, and maintenance personnel (58) may use a personal ditigal assistant having a piconet module (58) therein to acquire current and historical information about the elevator and to issue executable commands to the elevator system.

The device comprises a frame, handrail supporting means mounted along a length of the frame, and springs mounted to the frame to elastically support the handrail supporting means. Each handrail supporting means includes a supporting rod movably mounted through the frame, a first supporting roller mounted to an end of the supporting rod to support the handrail, and a stopper formed at the other end of the supporting rod. The spring is provided between the frame and the first supporting roller, and biases the first supporting roller away from the frame.

摘要： Near or at each elevator lobby related to a group of floors serving a building, a floor identifier (39, 42, 52, 60) identifies with color, and optionally a symbol such as letter, each floor which is served by the group of elevators related to that lobby. At each elevator (26-29; 46-49) there is an elevator indicator (32-35; 32a-35a) which displays the same color, and optionally the same symbol, as displayed for any floor which the respective elevator is currently assigned to serve. With permanent sector assignments, colors are permanently assigned to each sector, so tenants seek out an elevator of the same color each morning to see which elevator is assigned to their floor at that particular point in time. During dynamic channeling, floors that are reassigned by a group dispatcher (58) into different sectors bear the colors of the new sector, making it easy for passengers to locate the correct car for their destination floors.
