    • Heel for footwear comprising a stem, a slider extending along a longitudinal axis, and a seat formed in the stem in which the slider can slide along the longitudinal axis. The seat comprises a chamber for housing a first portion of the slider and a guide on which the slider can slide. The heel further comprises a damping element inserted into the seat, the damping element being elastically deformed, with at least partial retraction of the slider into the seat, when the slider is subjected to a load bearing on the heel. The first portion 41 of the slider 4 and the seat 5 comprise, respectively, a radially contractable catch 15 and a first shoulder 10, or, vice versa, the catch 15 being radially contractable for the insertion of the first portion of the slider into the chamber through the guide, and being radially expandable when the first portion of the slider is inserted into the chamber so as to interfere with the first shoulder to retain the slider unidirectionally.
