    • The invention on the one hand relates to a device for attaching and guiding of at least one tackle cord (2) in a Jacquard machine, the device (1) being designed for being attached to a part (20) of the Jacquard machine and being designed for being connected to at least one tackle cord (2), the device (1) being provided with a springy element (15) exercising a pushing force on the device (1) in a direction which is opposite to the tractive force exercised on the device (1) by the tackle cord (2).     • A knife carriage for face-to-face weaving machines has a supporting surface with interchangeable, adjustable sliding parts which direct the knife carriage in relation to a guiding section. A cutting instrument separates top and bottom fabrics from each other. The instrument has attachment(s) for a drive cord from a drive mechanism for the knife carriage. The sliding parts and the attachment(s) for the drive cord on the supporting surface have a device, which when tightened, makes the attachment line of the device coincide respectively with the contact line of the sliding parts with the supporting surface, and surface the contact surface of the attachment(s) with the supporting surface. The length of the supporting surface is smaller than the distance between the extremities of the sliding parts protruding in relation to the supporting surface in longitudinal direction of the knife carriage. The width of the supporting surface is smaller than the distance between the sides of the sliding parts protruding in relation to the supporting surface in transverse direction of the knife carriage.

    • A lifter mechanism for a Jacquard machine is connected to two hooks. This mechanism has one lifter element with two rollers and one roller element. This mechanism also has one lifter cord passing around under the top roller of the lifter element and is fixed by each end to one of the hooks while the roller element is immovably fixed below the lifter element. The mechanism has an additional lifter cord which is fixed by one end next to the other lifter cord to one of the hooks. This lifter cord is passed around under the roller of the roller element, around over the bottom roller of the lifter element, and is extended back down, where it connected to the warp threads. The rollers are placed on shafts, which, in a horizontal plane, form an angle (.alpha.) relative to a line parallel to the direction of the knives. The roller of the roller element is placed on a shaft which, in a horizontal plane along the other side, forms an angle (.beta.) relative to a line parallel to the direction of the knives, while the outsides of the flank pieces and of the side plates are situated in vertical planes lying at right angles to the direction of the knives.

    • A shed forming device positions warp yarns in order to form a shed in accordance with a pattern to be woven, before inserting a weft through this shed. The positioning of the warp yarns is one potential cause of an increase or a decrease of potential energy in the shed forming device. One or several elements is added to compensate, by their change of state, partly or entirely for the decrease or increase of potential energy which is produced in the shed forming device by the positioning of the warp yarns. The change of state of the elements is effectuated without any coupling with the positioning of individual warn yarns. A weaving machine uses such a shed forming device.
