    • A stairlift provided with drive members fitted on the wall of the staircase and comprising a motor 1 and a chain 2 which, through the use of a trolley 3 and arms 4,5, is capable of lifting and displacing a lift platform. The motions of the lift platform are controlled by an iron bar 7 such that from the lower position a vertical motion upwards is first executed before a motion parallel with the staircase is initiated. At its lower end the bar divides and the rollers 9,10 rolling thereupon enclose at the lower end the widening control mechanism, whilst in the other motion along the control mechanism one roller 10 is located above and one roller below the control mechanism 7. The chain 2 and the iron bar 7 must be parallel but can to a certain extent be matched to the staircase in terms of their inclination without special members having to be produced for this purpose.

    • A stair lift provided with a drive member fitted to the wall of the staircase, comprising a motor 1 and a chain 2 which, via a trolley 3 and arms 4, 5, is capable of lifting and moving a lift platform. The motions of the lift platform are controlled by an iron bar 7, so that from the lower position a vertical motion upwards first takes place before a motion parallel with the stairs is started. In the lower position, the bearing plane 31 of the lift is slid out in the lateral direction to coincide with a door which is displaced in relation to the stairs. The chain 2 and the iron bar 7 must be parallel but can to a certain extent be adapted to the staircase in terms of their inclination, without any need for special members for this purpose. The bearing plane of the lift is provided with ramps 26, 27, the front one of which is swung down once the lift has reached its laterally protracted end position, whilst the upper ramp is swung down when the lift, having reached the top step, is halted and displaced a touch in towards the wall of the staircase.
