    • 메시지의 수에 기초하여 랜덤액세스를 수행하기 위해 기지국은 i번째 프레임에서 메시지를 전송한 단말의 개수를 산출하며, i번째 프레임에서 메시지를 전송한 단말의 개수를 이용하여 (i+1)번째 프레임에서 전송될 메시지의 수를 산출한다. 기지국은 (i+1) 번째 프레임에 전송될 메시지 수와 랜덤액세스 슬롯의 개수를 이용하여 전송확률을 산출하고, (i+1) 번째 프레임에 전송될 메시지 수와 전송확률을 복수의 단말로 전송한다. 그리고, 기지국은 복수의 단말 중 (i+1) 번째 프레임에 전송될 메시지 수가 랜덤액세스 슬롯의 개수보다 큰 해당 단말이 전송확률과 난수를 비교한 결과에 따라 전송한 메시지를 수신한다.
      이처럼 다음 프레임에 요청할 상향 랜덤액세스의 개수를 예측하여, 현재 상향링크에 부과되고 있는 상향 랜덤액세스 개수에 대한 정보를 단말로 전달함에 따라 상향링크의 충돌 확률을 감소시킬 수 있으며, 충돌로 인한 단말의 접속 지연을 감소시킬 수 있다.
