摘要： A device for processing fuel vapor including a canister and a separating mechanism. The canister houses an absorbent such as charcoal for absorbing vapor components of the fuel vapor. The separating mechanism separates the fuel vapor into liquid components and vapor components. The separating mechanism has a separating chamber holding the liquid component, a lead tube for leading the fuel vapor from a fuel tank to the separating chamber, an outlet tube through which the vapor component in the canister flows into the separating chamber, and an inlet tube through which the vapor component in the separating chamber flows into the canister. The end opening of the lead tube is located close to the bottom of the separating chamber, and the end openings of the inlet and outlet tubes are located close to the ceiling of the separating chamber and above the surface of the liquid component in the separating chamber.

摘要： A device for controlling fuel evaporation and overflow expansion out of an automobile fuel tank is connected to the filler neck.The device is basically designed for easy installation on cars not originally equipped with fuel tank controls (generally referred to as a retrofit evaporation kit). It incorporates a container for receiving both fuel vapors and the liquid fuel overflow and is connected to a carbon cannister vapor storage element. The container has one conduit extending between the container and the filler neck which permits both fuel vapors and liquid fuel overflow to flow back and forth between the container and the filler neck. The container has a second conduit which is connected to the carbon cannister vapor storage element and which permits only fuel vapor to flow from the container to the carbon cannister vapor storage element. A third connection may be used from the carburetor to a diaphragm operated valve in the cannister to control recycle.

摘要： An apparatus for removing fuel vapors from a fuel tank on a motor vehicle, comprising a plurality of upstanding expansion chambers having different volumetric capacities and separated from one another by dividing walls except for the upper end portions thereof in which they communicate with one another through a common chamber. The expansion chambers have at the lower ends thereof openings communicating respectively with the upper corner portions of the fuel tank, and the expansion chamber communicating with the corner of the fuel tank located closest to the apparatus is provided with an especially large volumetric capacity as compared with the other expansion chambers. The apparatus further includes a check valve installed in a path provided for communication between the apparatus and the canister, crank case, etc. of the vehicle for controlling the flow of vapors therebetween. The apparatus may be manufactured as a very compact unit, and yet, is capable of very effective vapor separation irrespective of the position of installation thereof relative to the fuel tank.

The saddle fuel tank can have a first lobe and a second lobe. The first vent line can have a first vent port located in the first lobe of the saddle fuel tank. The first solenoid is configured to open and close the first vent port. The second vent line can have a second vent port located in the second lobe of the saddle fuel tank. The second solenoid is configured to open and close the second vent port. The control module sends a signal to the first and second solenoids to close the first and second vents upon reaching a full fuel condition.

摘要： A fuel container, in particular for motor vehicles, comprising an aereation and de-aereation device for balancing the internal gas pressure during filling of the container with fuel and during consumption of the fuel during the operation of a working machine powered by the fuel. The aereation and de-aereation device has a separator device for separating liquid fuel from an aereation and de-aereation line. In order to permit the separator device to be emptied, if a fuel pump, which serves this purpose during normal operation, is not in operation, the separator device comprises a housing and a pipe nozzle which is connected to the housing either directly or via a pipeline and in which pressure fluctuations occur as a result of incoming and outgoing fuel, said fluctuations acting as a pump for emptying the separator device.
