    • A method of controlling the unauthorized disclosure of classified data that is used to describe an event that has been calendared in an electronic calendaring application of an interactive information handling system in which the calendar owner assigns a security classification to an event as it is being calendared. The classification as­signed is pre-established by an information security protocol that is either unique to the calendar function or a more comprehensive information security system for the organization. The security classes are pre-established by the system. When the calendar data is presented in a format that allows event descriptions to be readable such as when a day calendar is viewable on the display terminal or in a printed copy, an overall security label is dis­played and printed out when the display is converted to hard copy.
      The period covered by the security label generally corre­sponds to the period that is selected for viewing. The security classification displayed is the highest security class of any of the event descriptions that are displayed.
      Data structures are established for each calendar entry which store the data in the system. These data structures are scanned to determine the overall classification that is displayed for the day calendar. Since a readable secu­rity classification label is automatically applied, re­gardless of whether the calendar presentation is on the display screen or in hard copy, all of the requirements of the established information security system are met and the electronic calendaring application need not be treated as an exception to the information security system. The method allows each calendar user on the system that has an assigned access permission level to view classified event descriptions at or below his or her assigned security level with a security label automatically displayed or printed.

    • A solar digital display device for application to an automobile windshield includes a mounting member having a front side and a back side, the back side having adhesive to adhere to the automobile windshield. A housing includes a front portion and an opposed rear portion, the housing rear portion being removably coupled to the front side of the mounting member such that the housing is movable between a captive configuration coupled to the mounting member and a released configuration displaced from the mounting member. A first electronic display is operatively coupled to the housing front portion and configured to display indicia indicative of a calendar date. A solar power source is coupled to the housing rear portion and electrically connected to the first electronic display. The housing is removable from the mounting member so as to modify the date or mileage display.

    • A first mechanism (2, 5, 8, 18, 20) of the calendar drives a date indicator, bearing numbers 1 to 30, by one one-day step at the end of each day, off a rotary part (1) of an analog timepiece movement. A second mechanism (60, 62) causes the date indicator, in cooperation with the first mechanism, to move forward from the 29th to the 1st of the following month at the end of the even months. A third mechanism (75, 79, 95, 97) inhibits the action of the second mechanism at the end of the embolismic (or abundant) years whereby at the twelfth and final month of these years the date indicator displays 30 before proceeding to the 1st. The calendar is perpetual, and a date-corrector (11) and a month-corrector (54) enable the calendar to be updated.
