摘要： The system is for fire-retardant glazing, installed in a frame and capable of withstanding the effect of heat for a prescribed period. Media are provided in the frame, for holding the pane of glass, which can carry out their holding or clamping action on the pane edges under the effect of heat. For this purpose inorganic materials may be interposed between the edge of the pane (1) and the holder strips or shped-sections (3) which act on it, which become soft under the effect of heat and join the pane to the strips or shaped-sections. Separate strp-shaped units may be interposed in this position.

In Fig. 1 the metal member 4 abuts the marginal region, and insulation 6, 7, 8 is provided. In Fig. 2 (not shown) a heat conducting mastic (19) is provided between member (14) and the sheet. In Fig. 3 (not shown) the border of the sheet is insulated over a greater width than 12 cm. In Figs. 5-7 (not shown) the side facing the heat is supported at intervals around its periphery by clamps (40) and braces (41) allowing access to the border of the pane. Reflecting layers (44, 56, 57) may be provided on the side facing the heat.

摘要： A window main frame, particularly for installation in an inclined roof, is provided with a groove (8) extending into the internal edge surface and adapted to receive the edge of an internal panel member (9) and having a width that is substantially larger than the thickness of the panel member. The panel member (9) abuts against the lateral wall (2) closest to the frame opening (3) and a slit is left between the panel member and the other lateral wall of the groove. The panel member (9) is fixed in the groove (8) by means of spring clamps (10) resting against one lateral wall of the groove, and by a resilient tongue (12) directed towards the other lateral wall of the slit the panel member (9) presses against the lateral wall (2), thereby preventing the panel member from being pulled out of the groove.
