摘要： The method of attaching a bobber to a fishing line is performed by using pressure applied to two elongated flat surfaces to pinch the line, and a method to tie a knot in the line so that there is a thicker portion of the line to apply the attaching pressure. When the fish is snagged on the hook, the line tension pulls the knot apart and only a single line thickness is left between the two pressure surfaces. This allows the line to slip between the two pressure surfaces, provided the pressure surfaces do not significantly close their gap when the knot is pulled out.

摘要： The invention relates to a fishing tackle stem guide for use in fishing in multiple seasons. The stem guide includes an elongated rod, at least one sleeve stop, a stem connector and a line stop. The elongated rod includes at least one line shoulder therein extending from an outer surface of the elongated rod to within the elongated rod for receiving a fishing line. The at least one sleeve stop limits the movement of a sleeve in a lengthwise direction of the elongated rod. The stem connector is located on a first end of the elongated rod. The line stop system includes a movable sleeve positioned on the elongated rod and is located on a second end of the elongated rod for fixing a position of the fishing line in a first line shoulder relative to the elongated rod in a first position to enable the fishing line to be restrained from sliding along the line shoulder and for positioning the fishing line in a second line shoulder in a second position to enable the fishing line to be slidable along the line shoulder. The sleeve stop is positioned between the first position and the second position to prevent the movable sleeve from sliding over the entirety of the line shoulder in the second position.

Embodiments include a rod rotatably held within a housing and a snap configured to lock the swivel by attaching to both the housing and the rod. Embodiments of the swivel can be unlocked by attaching the snap to the rod alone and allowing the rod to swivel relative to the housing. The swivel snap can be used for enhancing a variety of fishing mechanisms including the shank of jigs and the spindle of lures and other apparatus attached to fishing lines. Embodiments of the locking swivel snap can be used in other applications which call for selective locking of swivel motion.
