摘要： A computer assisted method for recognizing and labeling instances of name classes in textual environments is described. The invention receives training text having instances of named-entity classes labeled, from which it generates a database of bigram and unigram occurrences. The invention uses the database of bigram and unigram occurrences to form a two level Hidden Markov Model with single output states at the lower level. The invention also receives a series of input text to be processed and labeled with respect to the name classes, and the invention uses the two level Hidden Markov Model to recognize and label instances of named-entity classes in the input text.

摘要： An electrical connection clamping device for use with a flexible medical electrode harness comprises an upper member and a housing member. The housing member has a first surface with at least one electrical contact point, alignment and bias devices. The upper member has a first end with clamping device and a second end pivotally connected to the bias device of the housing member. The alignment device receive a flexible medical circuit and allow the electric contact points to electrically connect with the circuit as it is secured by the clamping device. A cable is electrically connected to the electrical contact points and to an instrument. The cable has a plurality of individually sheathed wire bundles which each have a plurality of individual wires for attachment to a printed circuit board and electrical contact points.

In one aspect, an endoscope comprises an elongate shaft having a distal end and a proximal end and a visualization section at the distal end of the shaft. The visualization section includes a proximal surface and an outer surface spaced apart from the proximal surface. At least one of the proximal surface or the outer surface of the visualization section has an average surface roughness less than about 50 nanometers RMS. The endoscope allows improved remote visualization while not interfering with the autofocus feature of a video capture system and not causing increased light reflectance and glare due to improved surface finish.

摘要： Presented is an anti-tampering method that validates and protects specific sections of a binary file. In one embodiment, this method permits a proxy engine to execute (via emulation by a virtual machine) the protected code on behalf of the binary in kernel mode upon successful completion of an integrity check. The integrity check can optionally check only the specific parts of code that the developer wishes to validate. The integrity check can cross binary boundaries. Moreover, the integrity check can be done on a hard drive or in memory. Furthermore, since the encrypted code is executed by the proxy engine in kernel mode, hackers are further deterred from modifying the code. Additionally, a method of creating a protected binary file is described herein.
